You have to know that so much of our daily lives is propaganda and conspiracy by bots. There's a view that the more shit you hear, the less you will believe the truth. Someone says 1 + 1 = 5, tell them to fuck off and do not give them any energy or time. Move on, focus on the future. They want you angered and frustrated with your fellow citizens so you are less happy, kind, and productive.
That is really the way it is these days on social media. Also, some just do it for the money, depending on the platform. On Twitter these days, the top 100+ reactions to every viral post are just monetized bot accounts posting racial slurs, nazi stuff and other engagement bait. Don't even tell them to fuck off, the only winning move is not to play, but to block them. Which of course makes it a totally useless platform.
These assholes will point at a con trail from a jet as proof of humans altering the atmosphere to affect climate, but deny that coal power plants or gasoline engines do the same.
I know people who work in aviation and believe in chemtrails. Like, you fly, fix, and/or fuel the plane. Where is the equipment? The conspiracy goes so high up that nobody flying, fixing, or fueling the plane knows how it works? Really? So dumb.
That's as dumb as a flat earth boat driver, they literally use knotical miles. People that dumb must think a tiny penguin turns the light off in the fridge when you close the door.
They should be more concerned about the actual observable wild fire smoke from Canada and the root cause: Climate Change due to human activity and fossil fuel consumption
There's no way human activity could impact the global climate, unless it is by individual passenger planes spraying chemicals into the sky. As we all know, that 's how "they" create hurricanes, tornados, hail, Timothy Chalamet, etc.
I think the republicans outlawed chemtrails, which arent a thing but they have no brains. Next thing to outlaw will be unicorns or something else that doesn't exist.
While right wingers are an inherent source of conspiracy bullshit, stuff like this is not limited to right wingers at all. I think many people forget that the bulk of the anti-vaccine movement started among dumbass hippy leftists.
The inability for ppl to repeatedly be surprised at drumpfs cult being a cult and their fascist dictatorship of a nation being a fascist dictatorship, astounds me.
Do we know this person is a Republican? In the past I would have assumed they were more likely leftie.
Alas, it's been... "interesting" over the last few years watching the various forms of self aggrandizing science denialism act as a conveyor belt moving a subset of people from left to right; where things like vaccine denial and pasteurization skepticism find a more welcome home, sitting next to the old school right wackiness like fluoridation panics and anti-semitism.
This is an offshoot of the whole HAARP/chemtrail/weather modification conspiracy stuff. Like the Qanon lunatics, these people seem to be mostly Trump fans, probably because these days, Republicans validate all kind of conspirational beliefs. UFO files, JFK, etc. MAGA uses a lot of cult tactics. The more crazy stuff they make you spout, the harder it is for you to connect to outsiders. Remember those freaks proudly wearing diapers before the election?
I found out recently that not all people that believe in Chemtrails are also Republican. I was quite shocked, for 2 seconds, then I noticed the 111 tattoo, aura crystal necklace and other random things that reminded me that some crazies exist on both sides.
The right wing recruited all those insane people, the anti-vaxxers, the "left wing" conspiracy theorists. It was easy because they're idiots and easy marks for lying grifters. If you can convince someone to buy special "alkaline water" because its healthier, despite zero scientific evidence, you can convince them of anything you want. There was a massive shift during covid lockdowns and the vaccine push and a bunch of them went full on far-right... Just look at RFK Jr. He is a prime example.
Yep, the Trump campaign went hard on basically any kind of fringe group that Democrats didn't have claim to for the 2024 election. It was unfortunately a very smart move, especially in a time of economic displeasure. The sad truth of American politics is really just that the average American is a fucking moron.
Basically, this illustrates how the "smart" Democrats are also stupid. These kooks weren't always Republicans, they used to be Democrats. However, the Republicans were willing to indulge their idiotic conspiracy theories to get their votes, while the Democrats (finding it more important to flaunt their self-appointed superiority than to win elections) called them stupid. So they switched to the side that didn't (at least openly) mock them.
This applies to some, but it's absurd to generalize it as ALL of them. Right wingers are inherently more inclined to conspiracies and distrust of government.
Oh, it's not ALL of them, no. But both sides are strongly populated with gullible conspiracy theorists and people of below-normal intelligence. The only reason there is a slight overage of them among the Republicans now is that the Republicans wisely made a home for them and gained the numbers to win elections, while the Democrats ridiculed them (except a few Democrat-sanctioned conspiracies) and gave them even more reason to angrily vote Republican.
I bet the liberal left woke schools "taught" you that there were three types of clouds and that they were all natural when actually there should be no clouds to block god's view of our Christian nation only Europe and Asia have clouds because God does not want to look at them amen
Three might be what they teach in maga country but for the rest of us there are many more types. Including (but not limited to): cirrus, cirrocumulus, cirrostratus, altocumulus, altostratus, nimbostratus, stratocumulus, stratus, cumulus, and cumulonimbus
The only time I was taught about clouds was in like 4th grade and they only listed 3 or 4 types. Also based on those names wouldn't they be more like subtypes or combinations rather than distinct types?
Very brief lesson on clouds, they are named by their height above ground (stratus, altus, cirrus, in order) and their shape. Shapes include Cumulus (clumpy), stratus (layers), nimbus (has rain). So, as an example, nimbostratus is a layer of rainy cloud and altocumulus is lumpy cloud in the middle layer. Stratus is both a height and a shape, a layer of cloud at the lowest level is just "Stratus", because stratusstratus would be silly
Cirrus can have shape though the one that's easiest to see is just called "Cirrus", it means "tendrils" and are the long strand-like clouds. There are Cirrocumulus and Cirrostratus clouds. Cumulus can also occur at any altitude so there's Stratocumulus and Altocumulus too. There is also a Cumulus cloud that occurs at all altitudes, the Cumulonimbus. These clouds are generally affiliated with fierce weather.

Jun 9, 2025 — Louisiana state lawmakers have sent a bill to Gov. Jeff Landry's desk seeking to ban "chemtrails." Why it matters: They don't exist.
