Some reich wing congressperson remarked to some reporter about "when did John Mellencamp get so political?" Because people think Pink Houses is pro US because it says "Ain't that America?" when it's about how the American Dream doesn't apply to poor people.
They use a lot of Rage Against the Machine for army themed stuff apparently. Some dude showed me a video and was like "this is dope, cos it's got gunshots" and I didn't even know what to say to that cos that is just about the most idiotic choice of song I've ever heard. I mean really, what machine do they think is being raged against, honestly.

Apparently he used to fly into Vietnam and fly wounded soldiers out. He was called The Gentleman Flyer of the Pacific because he always had the exact same smooth calm voice not matter what was happening around him. I wish I remembered his name.
