And when you she get pissed She sits on the Box and you never Come back to the Tages Licht !

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Uhhh, there's a wee amount of light bleeding onto your projection screen. I would shield those candles away from your screen amigo.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

My husband & I are moving & this will be the first modification made on said house.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had a recurring dream as a kid of having a trapdoor like this in my house where I could just go to chill.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Poang!!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

HONEY! CAN I CUT A HOLE IN THE LIVING ROOM FLOOR FOR MY MAN CAAAAAVE?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What a comfortable way to die in a fire!

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Part of me agrees, until you see all the requirements for smoke alarms in houses now. They all have to be linked, and need 'em everywhere.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well my thought was more than no one would know where to find you if something should happen.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Long as you can hear the alarm, you could rescue yourself. I can't imagine you could get trapped anymore there than in another room. Phone.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is also a really good hideaway if you had an intruder or something.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Except, you can't disguise the trapdoor once you're inside. Gotta staple a rug to it, or something.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

wait till some fat person sit on that and discovers your mancave

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

updated version fixed that problem

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I would like a woman cave like that but with a nice gaming computer set up.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"man cave" ruined it for me

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 9

Could be worse, I know a girl with a "she shed." I just hate the sound of it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

What's wrong with man cave in this situation it is almost literally a man cave

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

Only guys who are insecure about their manliness would call it that.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

True

thanks for the link!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yep, that's mine! Nice to see it getting some love. It's changed a lot since then..this is what it looks like now: https://imgur.com/ieC0uCS

Candles?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

though, how do your hidden room stay hidden if you're gonna watch movies and overall make noise

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Still wearing shoes in the house like a savage tho

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Well i certainly I didn't see your post 4 months ago ....but i did see on another site ...you should be proud that it traveled..

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh my gosh you're the guy who also did the DIY bathroom! Dude you make such amazing stuff seriously!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah I remember you! So were you ever able to get a fuzzy rug?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can I see what the terrarium/rock thingy to the right looks like up close? Really like the ide

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You’re so fancy.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you STILL didn't manage to get a Blu-ray player attached to your projector? :/ I wouldn't wanna see that crap Netflix PQ on that thing…

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bad ass but you need a rug or custom sticker to hide the Ring to lift the floor.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sort of looks like you're growing pot in the bottom left?

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

That was my first question!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

As a pot smoker who has seen many plants, that looks more like a fern, it's very short and the leaves are way to long

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

It’s been a while, but isn’t that the bottom RIGHT?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cinema room? More like Netflix and maximum overchill

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

The resolution is to blurry to see the real name... here's the original:

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're my hero

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aww, from "this is what it looks like now" I was expecting a complete change, like into a sex dungeon or something, not "I got a nicer table

9 years ago | Likes 105 Dislikes 1

All the chains and collars on the wall... How many dogs do these people have?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hmmm....judging from the big red balls...I'd say six?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But, the LED backlighting!

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

thanks for noticing!

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Bias lighting is the word you're looking for :)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That and the awesome almost seamless trap door takes it to another level.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

table is the same, he changed the secret entrance

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Netflix and sex dungeon?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is there a bathroom down there? Seems like it'd kinda suck to traverse a ladder every time I got drunk and needed to take a leak.

9 years ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 0

Compound bucket, plastic grocery bag and toilet paper. Boom problem solved!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Or try to go up and realize that someone is passed out on top of the bench-door

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Piss jug bro

Look at those wine bottles. I see a cause and a solution...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

someone on imgur (or at least reddit r/diy and using imgur to host) made this

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is it a basement turned into a mancave? Or did you just dug a hole ?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is glorious

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Can I come over? I see you have wine

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are those couches comfy? They remind me of the crappy ones in West Africa but maybe that's just the look and not the feel.

9 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

very comfy...I recently added electric blankets to turn them into heated seats too

9 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

I see you changed the fake couch for a sofa... someone fell through the 1st one, right ?

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

nope but some constructive feedback from you guys and reddit helped me see that the chair and trap door is a more elegant solution

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Nice to see the fern is still alive! (unless it's plastic...) The wine was less fortunate it seems... ;P

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Awww. It looked cooler before.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Nice work. If I dig a basement, the Pacific Ocean might come through the walls. So I will just suffer watching Netflix above ground.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

what, where are you

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Coastal, probably by the pacific ocean.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

huh, my first guess was gonna be east coast

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Basements are pretty much non-existent in my home state of Texas. :(

9 years ago | Likes 149 Dislikes 2

I saw one in 23 years.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which is weird... I mean, the best way to make them down there is with explosives, you'd think it would be more popular.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Basement? Surely you mean underground pool

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's what we'd get in Florida

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Amen brother. Doesn't make sense either with all dem torn nade does.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Michigan we essentially have 1 room caves as basements. No concrete, no flooring, just damp dirt and sadness.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Michigan, only one house I've lived in had the dirt gutter basement. The rest at least had cinder block walls down to the concrete slab.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I must keep rolling 1's then. My experience has been the exact opposite.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In the area where I live basements are required.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Went to visit sister in Illinois, 400sqft below ground. Couldn't believe it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is if you don't want it to smell like jizz and dude-sweat. Nobody is impervious to the gamer stench after an all nighter (or weekender).

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They aren't all they're cracked up to be.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Love the name boy-o!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ground too dry. My house already has a fucked up foundation. :c

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s so sad

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sigh...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What about the one below the Alamo?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Gold

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Same in FL. When you live on sand and are prone to flooding during hurricanes, it's a terrible idea.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In FL digging down 20 feet hits water. Can't leave an inground pool empty for more than 3 days because it will FLOAT up out of the ground.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same in California

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Florida here, what is this "basement"? You dig 5 feet and you hit the damn water table.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Neither is water

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Only a small part of TX is arid. Did you not see the Harvey aftermath?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Steve Harvey aftermath? No I didn’t see that.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The reason that most of Texas has no basements is cause of too much water (flooding)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yup. It's too bad, I would like somewhere to go when the tornados are around...

9 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

Or somewhere to drown during floodings.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was just going to say...don't you guys need those?

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

East Texas here. We don't have dirt... it's all fucking red clay. Damn near impossible to dig more than a foot or 2 by hand

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Austin, 2 inches deep and you just hit fucking rock.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who's digging a basement by hand? Lol

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Last I checked, nobody.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We have them in North and West Texas, but Central and South Texas the ground just isn't right for building underground.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Does South Texas get tornadoes? I lived there for a good five years but I don't recall any tornadoes.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where is North Texas, I haven't seen any while looking at homes. All slabs.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Did some relief work in Houston and couldn't help but notice that EVERY house was on slab. Think the ground was all sand.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Long Island is just a giant sand bar. Most homes have a basement unless very close to water.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Or a mile of red clay and rock making it cost prohibitive
