mama raised me right

Tl;dr- op doesn't sleep with drunk people and now I got a date.

Context.
I'm a firm believer that even if your tongue touches alcohol I will not sleep with you no mater how sober or drunk you are I will not... unless you're my S/O and we both agreed to ahead of time.

But I went to a frat party (I was DD) and this girl is pretty gone (call her Su), I have to admit she is the definition beautiful and totally out of my league. Decided to take a seat and catch up with a few mates and she stumbles to get the seat next to me and starts confessing how she had a crush on me and begins to compliment me, so naturally I thought she had me mistaken for someone else. She then blurts out "hey you wanna go upstairs?" (upstairs means you're gunna have sex) Everyone around me hears it and I turn her down. All the guys around me are starting to "boo" and shame me for not taking it. I keep an eye out for her since college guys with jacked up hormones and alcohol inhibitors are like a pack of wolves looking for easy prey at parties, later down the line she asked me to take her home which is a few miles away from mine but I'd rather her be safe so went for it. My mates where cool and wanted to stay longer so where willing to take an uber home. She couldn't walk properly so I carry her to my car, drove her home, carried her to her door got her roommate to help, placed her on her bed, and went on home. A few days passed and Su finds me at uni, she heard everything that happened and what I did, so she asked me out on date to make up for it. I turn it down and told her I don't want to make it seem like she was forced to owe me anything. So after I turned her down I asked her to be honest and asked her she was down to catch a movie with me this weekend, she said yes!

Front page edit: Holy shit front page. Ummm Send me chem jokes or follow me on instagram @kingjprizzy

I actually refused to sleep with a girl because I had only just met her, and she punched me repeatedly for saying no to her. Good stuff.

"(upstairs means you're gunna have sex)" phew... we never would've guessed that part. lol

10 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 3

I dunno man. When I was six, upstairs was where all the cool Lego bricks and hot wheels were kept, so there is that.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I used to get the same treatment from my friends, until I was the only one in a relationship and they couldn't figure out why theirs failed.

If you play your cards right, she won't be walking properly tomorrow night either.

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 8

Incoming? Sounds like he already put himself there.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

These comments are absolutely pathetic

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I think once you have slept with someone while sobee, then its okay to sleep with them after they have been drinking

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

TL;DR OP is a one of the last true Gentlemen left but is maybe too much for his own good

10 years ago | Likes 189 Dislikes 31

Still can't beat out the Supreme Gentleman though

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's not true gentleman behavior, that's decent human being behavior.

He's probably being called a neckbeard as well. Lord knows you can't treat them like people anymore.

> that the girl was horny and he chose not to sleep with her, which is fine, but moral "holier-than-thous" tend to annoy me.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 5

I don't find those often however I am oblivious to half the shit I read here so I may be wrobg

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was going to completely write off this story until I read that she was drunk. That's just being a good person. The other alternative was >

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Movie as a first date?!

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Am I the only one who doesn't believe any of this and thinks op is a m'lady neckbeard that makes stuff up for fake internet points?

10 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 12

Someone linked this in a different comment

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's not the act itself I have anything against, well done! ...it's that self righteous tone of "I'm such a good boy" that makes me cringe

10 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

"I resisted peer pressure and didn't rape! I'm so benevolent!" :|

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Nope. You're not alone.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh what's this? Someone didn't take advantage of a drunk girl? You deserve a medal.

10 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 6

Pretty sure it's the juxtaposition against peer pressure that made it notable.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

it's sad that not taking advantage of someone is a brag. ...

10 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 5

The majority of commenters disgust me. "You go man! What a great person you are!" or "oh no, you lost your chance! Friend zoned!" Pathetic.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Because he is bragging.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It shouldn't be. But some how it's being treated as one by OP

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Congrats on the chivalry, but you do sound boring as shit.

10 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 18

Agreed

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That ain't chivalry, it's decency. And of course he's boring as shit, he's bragging on the internet for points.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

Okay, jeez...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"I'm a firm believer that even if your tongue touches alcohol I will not sleep with you no mater" You're an idiot.

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 11

Or he got accused of rape

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you tried that in England, you'd be a lifelong virgin.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

This reads like OP never consumed alcohol before in his life.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

A few millennia of everyone using booze as a social lubricant but OP knows better than all those dirty sinners.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah. I mean, I usually drink a bit at social events with my boyfriend but... I guess he's a rapist!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I won't even have casual sex, and definitely not date somewho who drinks alcohol on parties.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

And if you want to be an uncaring fuck, that calls normal people idiot, then go ahead.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

Thanks for permission. You're an idiot. "normal" people use alcohol to help with social interactions, including sex.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

A proper human doesn't need alcohol to have fun or 'to help' with something.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Need? Probably not. Do? Millenia of humans using alcohol for social functions confirms that. Teetotalers like yourself are the exception.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Have you ever even drank alcohol?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean you don't need a rollercoaster to have fun either but it helps

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Isn't this just being a basic, decent human being...?

10 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 6

Judging by a bunch of the comments on this post, no. Apparently it's abnormal and neckbeardy, to some people.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

yes, but according to the comments it's actually an achievement for a man on imgur

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yes but for some strange reason he needs a medal.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

This should be top comment. OP is asking for upvotes for not raping someone.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

how is getting askedto sleep with somebody, even if they are drunk, raping somebody? maybe she fucks 2 dudes every weekend like that

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

If a person's not sober enough to make the decision, it's rape

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sometimes, Imgur seems likable then you scroll down and realize how fucked up you people are.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

You have to agree on sex beforehand with your SO? Seriously?

10 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 13

It seems pretty considerate. Maybe it doesn't always work perfectly but it's a nice ideal to have, communicating clearly with each other

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Here we have the real life Futurama Bureaucrat...he even makes his wife sign off in triplicate to change positions.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

It's all about communication, brah.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You probably do too, you just don't realize it. Agreement doesn't have to be asking the question. It can just be reading reactions.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Agreeing" is something that, surprisingly, can be as simple as determining that you want what the other person wants.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Which if you're not terrible at communicating with each other is pretty damn easy to figure out.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

At least, if you're not high or drunk off your ass.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have more fear of the people who think this concept is difficult than I do of signing sex consensual release forms

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

2) And I get that the conditions of one's youth and family heritage can prejudice kids strongly towards willful ignorance and arrogance.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

5) That's scary enough, but when you realize the problem contributes equally to bullying and sexual assault, a light'll go off in your head.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4) And thus, don't know how to do an adequate job of either giving or recognizing others' consent.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

3) But that is exactly why parenting is important. Because bad parenting produces people who don't know what consent looks like.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean, to be fair, I get it. I get that hormonal teenagers who've never left home can be too sheltered to do a good job of this.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

while drunk.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

Fuck that noise, me and the lady like to get it on without talking about it. Just let it do it's thang. Bow chicka wow wow

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

he didn't say 'every time' he said 'if they're planning on getting drunk, sex is on the table or not' type of talk.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

According to OP, if any alcohol of any amount has been consumed whatsoever. I bet he's fun at parties.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

unless he's already in a relationship and they are in for it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean I ask, not every time but Jesus I'm not that horrible lmao.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah, OP is just weird.

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 3

True.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

While I kinda respect this, the whole "if a woman even touches alcohol I won't sleep with her" is incredibly insulting to women

10 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 16

I wouldn't sleep w/a guy who was inebriated or possibly inebriated. Unless it was my partner, & even then, there's limits on how inebriated.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

he can have standards. Just like women do, just like you do, just like most do.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

Yeah but my standards drop massively while drunk. For a lot of people they wouldn't get laid otherwise, both male and female

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

That's exactly what's incredibly skeevy about sleeping around while drunk. If they wouldn't have wanted to boink you when they were sober

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why should they while they're drunk?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It doesn't have the be insulting. Maybe he just doesn't want to risk toeing the line of consent. That's respectable imo

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Everything is incredibly insulting to women. It's like they're small angry children.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 6

Some people are childish, true. But there really are reasonable women out there who are aware of their insecurities and work on them.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is a bizarre view to hold, what sort of women do you encounter in your life ?

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

It's a joke. See how I was being deliberately insulting to women? Christ, get off the internet and go exercise your brain.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It didn't come off like a joke. Just because you have terrible delivery don't go complaining about me not noticing it

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Show me how to deliver it better.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not saying you're wrong, but he didn't come up with the insult if he's just avoiding rape accusations.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah, I don't get people who thinks that if someone is even slightly drunk that person is not able to use their brain.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 7

Because guessing where the line is, isn't a worthwhile risk to take for a guy.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

If a girl is plastered she should still be able to fuck.An adult lives with their regrets. Unfortunately a small minority has corrupted that

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 8

Er wow that came out wrong. I mean plastered but still went "yeah sure I'll fuck ya" not plastered and was scooped up by Cosby

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 7

Yes but decision making is skewed with alcohol that's the point, it would be something they may not do sober

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Think of all the guys who only got laid because the girl went "meh, why not" while drunk. Would you deny them that ?! You're evil

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

I'm a college aged girl and I agree w this. Great intention, but one sip isn't going to make us completely incapable of making decisions

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

lol someone downvoted you. I really wish I could find out who I wanna know wtf made them disagree with what you say

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

For me even if a girl is drunk, if we're having a good time and she's like "yeah let's fuck" I don't instantly think "oh no this woman is 1/

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

2/ crazy on the devil's spit, sleeping with her is wrong!". It deprives young people of a good drunk-fuck damnit. It's just some sick 2/

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

3/ fucks take it too far.If you have to undress her, you're not only a rapist you're a necrophiliac because you're basically fucking a corpse

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 7

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 8

For a lot of average folks that don't get their ethics from the media, these things aren't such serious issues.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

probably there were too many rape charges in his community and alcohol blaming.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's not necessarily a religious attitude. It may be just an outgrowth of society being protective of women

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's how the court system works. :)

"Upstairs means you're gonna have sex" , cmon OP were not all virgins here

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

not everyone goes to parties though.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Banging for bangings sake gives me no pleasure...I'm glad I'm not the only one out there like that- there's @OP as well!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Its always better to not be a creep that takes advantage of a drunk person this applies to all genders.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

Yes! This! +1

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

It's an obvious choice to not have sex with someone who has been drinking at a frat party, especially for imgurs scared of false rape charge

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That wouldn't be false. Someone intoxicated can't give consent

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Your perception of drunk men and drunk women is really skewed. I appreciate not fucking a really drunk chick, but 1 sip and no dick...?

10 years ago | Likes 398 Dislikes 43

Well let that be the risk you take. But if you're that desperate to get laid, i feel sorry for you.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Eh I kind of get it. If I just met the person, I dont know when their judgement is compromised. After you are more familiar, drunk sex ahoy

10 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 2

And you don't always know if the sip you saw them take was actually their first.

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

He could have a good reason. I have a 1 sip thing for driving, because my dad was nearly killed by a dd. It is to prevent crossing the line.

10 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 6

I think a lot of people would say that's a good idea. The sex thing though, you should be able to tell who is really out of it.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

He said unless she's a S/O and/or they agreed to ahead of time. I see nothing wrong with this line of thinking.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I have the same rule. Mostly because my own tolerance is stupid low, and I can never completely guess where somebody else is at

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

There's nothing wrong with wanting your first time with a person to be a clean & sober consenting endeavor.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I think its just that a line needs to be drawn somewhere

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah this reeks of whiteknighting tbh. A couple have a beer each and they're suddenly too impaired? Lighten up, Christ

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 11

That's what I was thinking, seems like a ridiculous rule to have, but it's not my life and not my weeny.

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 5

I have a similar rule, my reasoning is that I just don't want to risk taking advantage of someone.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My wife and I are the opposite. We'll do straight shots of vodka just to get fucked up fast and have crazy drunk sex all night. It's great.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

I just glanced at a beer in my fridge...we still down to fuck?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I really respect @op, because men can control themselves, and if both parties want it without alcohol, then right on. However.. as a gal1

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

2)sometimes I can be pretty persuasive, and if I've had a sip, and know I want it, I want it. Maybe @op has a police with new girls- sip=no

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

3)but maybe a relationship = fuck yes. If it's just with new girls, then that is just about the best thing in the world, you rock @op :D

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yea a drink is fine. You can tell when someone doesn't know what their doing. Unless your actually too drunk too. Then sloppy sex lol

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And not with your S/O if you've been drinking unless agreed upon beforehand? Like I'm not going to plan it out every time...

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I can totally understand in this highly litigious society wanting to avoid potential problems.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People here love to villainize alcohol for whatever reason

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 7

whatever reason: college guys with jacked up hormones and alcohol inhibitors are like a pack of wolves looking for easy prey at parties

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

yep that = everyone who takes a sip is horrible. Great comparison. Alcohol is why they are shit people, not you know, they are shit people

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Literally, no one said that. I was just pointing out that the reason was already accurately defined in the original post. Why so butthurt?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I cant believe how defensive people are getting about a different opinion. At no point did he or anyone imply this should be universal.Chill

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

people approach them for sex when they're wearing beergoggles and you seem 'available'. He's not a dildo.

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 33

I don't know why people are downvoting. I agree with you.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

I'm getting confused as fuck. "not all men are rapists but anyone who doesn't take advantage is gay or a neckbeard'. Wtf imgur..

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

Lol I said after a glass of wine at a restaurant not beer goggles, dont get too triggered

10 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 7

it's his standard. He doesn't owe you sex.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 26

He then tipped his fedora, flashed his Anita Sarkeesian tattoo, and everyone clapped for his moral superiority and switched to lemonade.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 10

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Well I mean if both parties intended to then I'm all in for it. I'm not gunna pass up wine or dates that involve alcohol

10 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 7

So, basically at this point you just say what you think people want to hear.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 27

IF it's at a frat party, and he has drawn his boundaries, then you should probably not try to jump down op's throat about this.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 10

Yeah, I saw that too. Weird no one else noticed.

A movie is a really bad date plan for a first date. You should take her out to dinner before/after. Otherwise there is like no time to 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 901 Dislikes 21

I think a movie is a good choice. You sit there for roughly 2 hours and can notice body language and mannerisms. After can discuss the movie

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

If someone fidgets constantly or puts their feet up or on another persons seat. I think body language is a much better tell of how itll work

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No dinner. Unless you want to see your date chew the whole time. Just drinks is great.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I always thought that a date should put both at a disadvantage forcing each other out of their comfort zones, but not to far like Bowling

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Movie first, then dinner works perfectly. Then you have something proximate to talk about.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends on the movie. Pick something light and ignorable so you can chatter through it, an sit far enough away that you won't bother anyone.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

grab her by the pussy. 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 3

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Way too late, but a for effort. I love these +1

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tip from Tyra Banks that I absorbed as a 12 y/o but never used. Movie before dinner, that way you can talk about the movie if all else fails

10 years ago | Likes 169 Dislikes 0

Holy shit. Thanks fam. never thought about it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ooh, nice call.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

THATS where I got that from!!! I always wondered who gave me that idea so long ago

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Always made sense to me, plus then you don't have to rush dinner to catch the movie, eating can always happen late.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's great advice :)

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Can confirm.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Movie then dinner is good because if you run out of conversation you can always talk about the movie. It's something you'll have in common

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah decided to go to a dog adoption center and play with dogs, park, then have seafood. No good movies out

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Keep us updated how it went

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Movie first, dinner second! So you have something to talk about during dinner guaranteed.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or do an escape game!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I spoke to a guy that ran one of these and he said it was the worst first date idea possible from his experience. (I disagree personally)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did that for first date once, went great. just be patient & let her try to solve parts too. Plus, can tell a lot about her doing that

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

From his Instagram pics - he's got nothing to worry about.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I struggle to believe this is a genuine picture of OP

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel out of his league

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Damn. I made myself sad

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But where else will he get that sober bj he has been waiting for

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're right about the movie being bad but dinner is way too much. Dudes in college and things are hella casual these days. 1/?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When you're dealing with a girl who goes to Frat parties formal dinner feels like you're interviewing her to be your wife. 2/3

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Coffee is better, it's inexpensive and therefore casual. It puts the emphasis on the conversation and no one feels like they owe anyone. 3/3

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Go to dinner after the movie so you guys can at least talk about that if nothing else during dinner.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I dont know, a movie can be a good easy start to see if you guys even click before moving on to opening up. Plus if you do a Dinner

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

before or after you get some talk time

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

+1 for this. Take her to the zoo. It's relaxed, you can chat, there are ways and ways to be surprised by animals having sex, etc.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

A cinema date is a bad first date. A dinner date at uni age is a terrible idea. A movie in your dorm, snuggled in bed? That shit is tight.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is why we need street performers!! You both get to watch a common exp. which you can then walk & talk about, not too long & off you go.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly. When you're three years in you will have all the time in the world to watch netflix and shit. Get to know her, do something fun

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

After, so at least you have the movie to talk about.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Best is movie first so you have at least one thing in common over dinner

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Really talk and get to know each other. Bit otherwise gj @OP 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 417 Dislikes 1

Movie first then dinner. That way you have the movie to start as a talking point. Otherwise could end up awkward silence before hand. 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Plus more likely to be relaxed and open after the movie as well 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yup, glo bowling is surprising a win too

10 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 0

Take her shooting. Really gets the testosterone flowing.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

nah movie first then the food, that way you have a starting point for conversation

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Or just a walk in the park. Autumn is beautiful.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's always nice to have an activity on the first date though. That way you have something to talk about if the conversation gets slow.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Dinner after is a good idea! If all else fails you'll have the movie to talk about

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Never thought about dinner + movie being done in that order before, that's genius!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But! If you do dinner first, you may be comfortable enough to do some hand holding/smooching in the cinema!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This! Dinner & then a walk around a park or through a busy downtown area (if safe). Might get some hand holding & kisses too! :)

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I do not understand people who say that a movie date is a bad idea. Seriously.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

It's not unless it the first date because then you never get to talk and learn much about eachother.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

A movie alone is a bad idea. If you do something afterwards then it can be great

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agreed, unlike a dinner where you're scrambling on what to talk about, the both of you just watched something together, convers. piece there

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Modern dating is different I believe. Every girl I've dated in the past I got to know very well via texting before the first date.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not unless it the first date because then you never get to talk and learn much about eachother.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A two-hour movie, then go out for drinks. Talking about the movie leads nicely into talking about each other.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You don't need to sit in silence for two hours for a conversation starter. "Do you watch Game of Thrones?" works just as well.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Exactly. You have just shared something that you can now exchange opinions about. Good conversation starter.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Bad first date, watching movie doesn't progress the relationship anywhere. You just sit there like an idiot for 2 hours too nervous to touch

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"Omg you're such a sweet friend" - she

10 years ago | Likes 4113 Dislikes 103

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I married my kind man after a very similar encounter :)

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 2

painfully relatable

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She probably really wanted to get banged. Good not to bone her is she can't walk, but if she's a little drunk, take her for a walk outside,

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 8

2/2 Charm her with conversation, make her laugh, have some smooches and drive her home so she's safe. If you don't be a bit bad, she won't

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

3/3 She will think you're boring. And it all sounds pretty painful

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

Cause what you are essentially saying is: make sure to show romantic intent, or else she could think OP is not interested.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm saying don't be so uptight, and when OP stops jerking himself off about what a great guy he is, he will probably realise that the real

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Though I agree with most of what you are saying, it sounds like she was blacked out for 90% of their conversation. He did the right thing.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Wat

don't be a dick . If you cant be friends with a female and think your owed something more you are the problem.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 7

I dont think semen is very sweet. Probably more salty

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

It depends on what you eat prior. If you eat sweet food such as fruits and such, then you'll get deliciously sweet semen.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think delicious may be an overstatement but what do i know. Cant say ive ingested many loads in my day

You're really better off avoiding relationships and people in general. They only complicate things, and people just fuck you over in the end

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

NEVER rush relationships

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Okay, but you'll lose to any guy who makes a move first and is halfway charming playing like that.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nobody says rushing. But she needs to know you are dating ;)

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I feel you. My ex had a total meltdown, ended up in a dissociative stupor, completely fucked. Been single and happy and free since then.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

C3PO is right: make sure to indicate interest, and escalate. If she doesn't reciprocate, obviously, then you'll know to be on your way.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dude me and you would get along so well

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

rushing ruins everything. you totally did the right thing. way to be classy af. take notes fellas.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Men chase for sex, women chase for commitment once men have the sex. So from this perspective I guess it does ruin it if you're a woman 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

who likes to be in control of the relationship. I find it's much better if guys take the initiative though, It's much more attractive. 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/2 not saying it's best, just guaranteed effective.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not rushing is smart, but girls NEED to see interest. Avoiding the friend zone is all about making intentions clear

10 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 2

This shit is hard, I'm just gonna die alone.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

With that attitude? Probably

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I just try to make friends. If things go well we start dating, if they go less well, hey I'll have made a friend

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Why can't more people have your mentality?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Because then the whole world would be filled with milktoast friendzoney relationships and a lot less people would be getting laid.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

To be fair I have talked to one person who didn't think she'd be able to date someone she'd first become friends with, but

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That sounds... incredibly unromantic and boring.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Idunno man, making friends isn't very boring, and I try not to fire romance on the unwilling

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

That's a hypothetical though, I don't have any friends

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I feel the same way...so scared of the friend zone, but don't wanna rush anything. I hope this one works out...I really like her.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Not making a move is how you end up in the friend zone. Stop thinking every girl is your last shot and you'll be less scared.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So long as they see interest appropriately. If you keep showing interest after they don't reciprocate, then it gets awkward.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1
