I started going gray around 5th grade. I dyed my hair black (my born color) until I was about 28 (I'm 30 now). I finally decided to just let it go, and I haven't looked back! Added a some red to the tips recently to spice it up a little ????????

zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

You're rocking it as well lady. :)

As someone who's bald since age 22, I envy you both.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Baldness looks really great on a lot of people though.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I sport a beard so I like to say that my hair just migrated south, like angry geese in autumn.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But at least your beard is awesome, unlike those angry feathered poop monsters.

Thanks for sharing, OP!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A vitamin B-12 deficiency or problems with your pituitary or thyroid gland can cause premature graying that’s reversible. May want check.

Selfie should be shot down, but op is attractive so people are giving her a pass

Well she has paid her cat-tax..

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

This is also literally her first ever action on Imgur. Is ignorance of the law an excuse? (I don't care either way - I did upvote, though.)

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yes, it's a selfie. Wanna know why people accept it? Because its unique content and interesting. Not just "look at mah tits".

She's self-conscious about selfies

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ohh I see, does she have a snapchat?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No selfies.

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 16

Do they want selfies? This is how you get selfies.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Selfish have always been acceptable if they display some unusual or interesting.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Yes, I know. Hence my comment.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Turns out autocorrect does not recognize selfies as a word.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is a selfie. On the front page. Morons

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 16

It's on the front page because it's interesting and unusual, dickweed.

You're nice, I like you :)

I've had grey hair since I was 14 and never cared. I've always had people tell me I should dye it but I just never saw the point.

32 male with a good amount of salt. It's more bright white than gray. Also, you should keep it the way it is, gorgeous.

35 and gray only on the sides. I'm ok with it.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

28 male with a good 50% of my hair silver/gray now. I look like someone put the Salt and pepper into 1 container.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

+1 for your mistress. Lol. Great name

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm a 20yr old girl and I have a growing patch right at the front, you embracing your hair has made me feel a lot better! You look gorgeous!

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I was in the same boat as you! I'm 31 now, with a significant white stripe in my bangs. It's apparently a good ice-breaker for people

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I always thought gray was a pretty cool color. I hope mine goes gray instead of falling out

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hope I go gray early instead of going bald. Gray is awesome, people should embrace it. Looks badass and elegant at the same time.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Facial features trump the hair color. If I had to guess I would have thought it was intentional.... like a live action Mass Effect actress.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

LOL yes, she reminds me of Dr. Chakwas. I know that character's supposed to be old, but she sure doesn't look it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well to be fair, the hair also looks good. Style is nice, hell even the color is not the worst gray I've seen.

9 years ago | Likes 476 Dislikes 7

Well the good side is right now people are paying hella lot of money for gray hair!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mine is just a little grey but I've always just embraced it. I'll take the sliver fox look

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The core patterning of your hair is caused by DNA and in forensics used to indicate race. Any cure would be a mutation, therefore unlikely.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, nows a good time to go gray because it's super trendy lol

9 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

Latisse for hair, I wish (side effect can be premanent eye color change - only brown, though). Multi-million dollar product right there.

In my case it's a side effect of my thyroid disease.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the tip!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Noticed my gray hairs at 14. At 27 it's pretty noticeable. I have a couple of hormone issues, so I attributed them to that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I started getting gray hair at 10. I keep saying I'm going to quit coloring it but I don't.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It can happen for multiple reasons. Can be autoimmune or vitamin deficiencies. Talk to your doc. They can test for both.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mines genetic, runs in the family. Nothing beyond a gene cure can fix it, unfortunately

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pray the gray away

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

One of my best friends was always wanting to pray when we were kids. Let's Pray ball let's Pray cops and robbers. ????????

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The color of your hair is like the color of your skin or eyes. Superficial, mostly. Doesn't really need to be 'cured.'

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Only possible cure other than coloring is going bald!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They've figured out the gene that causes grey. Only time before there's possibly a drug based cure

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why would you want a "cure" ??? Gray hair is cool!!! I wish i had some Gray hairs and not so "fragile" hair...

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

My gray hairs are incredibly fragile. They always end of breaking and then frizzing in a halo

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The frizz is awful. Like wire sometimes. Leaving coconut oil in it overnight helps

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Coconut oil has been super helpful. I haven't left it on over night though.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The bottle of Aussie three minute anti friz conditioner works for my daughter and did good when I had my hair long

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In part, it was a desire to have "normal" hair for once. Grey hair itself is very dry and brittle. It takes a lot of TLC

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

What do you do to keep it healthy? Not there yet but if I'm heading my mom's way it'll be soon!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Honestly, giving up dyeing it every two weeks is the best thing I've ever done for it. So liberating!

9 years ago | Likes 261 Dislikes 4

I think it adds to your attractiveness!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I was going to say better grey than bald bu then I remembered how much I save shaving my own head. I kinda miss my hair, but not really :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

well being attractive certainly helped too, ya'know

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had gray hairs at 18 - totally gray by 40. I look around at others (Male & Female) losing hair and I'm lucky

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You look totally awesome, I dye my hair grey, wish it looked that good!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So all that grey is natural? Hope you at least checked out with a doc to make sure its not a symptom of anything with how young you are.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Just genetics. My mom had greys at 13, and same with me. So many to cover now, its a pain. Every 4 weeks :(

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did, clean bill of health :) just genetics!

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Well you're rocking those genetics! Love the red too :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well genetics picked a great time since grey hair is trendy now XD

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

From what I understand, gray hair is the natural hair color, genetics just decides to add color in.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Makes sense to me. Also, digging the username. I'm only ever on mobile too

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I bet people don't believe its your natural color

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably more cost effective too

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My mom had greys at 13 and same with me. Now i have so many. Covering new roots is such a pain - every 4 weeks at least :(

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Will a simple "holy crap, you're beautiful" suffice for support?

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Looks great anyway

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is, and you're rocking the look! I grew my hair out longer & get a lot of compliments from strangers, they think it's a grey dye job. :D

As a hair dresser, grey is so in. Try using a purple shampoo to give it a bit of a violet hue and make sure you deep condition oftwn

Thank you!! I've found gray hair is sooo much different than black/brunette hair. The texture changed 100%.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yeah it's incredibly porous and wirey. Deep condition and if you want to get it shiny you can get a clear gloss semi coloring too

Imgur doesn't like all forms of Unicode, and not all emoji's have been updated into the standard, even then not all fonts/programs support

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Problems with fonts usually cause unknown characters to be rendered as boxes, not question marks. Source: Had an old computer with no emojis

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fun fact: the red heart fits into two bytes when encoded as UTF-16. Most emojis do not. This might be a UTF-16 implementation bug.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

UCS-2 encodable characters: ᚠᚡᚢᚣᚤᚥᚦᚧᚨᚩᚪᚫᚬᚭᚮᚯᚠ ⅐⅑⅒⅓⅔⅕⅖⅗⅘⅙⅚⅛⅜⅝⅞ ⚐⚑⚒⚓⚔⚕⚖⚗⚘⚙⚚⚛⚜⚝⚞⚟

9 years ago | Likes 350 Dislikes 2

This

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mine first started going at 14. Around 23 I finally started shaving my head and started to feel like a new man.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mine started going around the same time. Tried a bunch of different hair cuts to minimize it and finally at 26 said screw and shaved it

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Now I just hit the clippers every few weeks and call it good. Helps if you can grow some kind of beard though.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Had a friend start calling me Seven Head when I was 26.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same fam. Same

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can relate. Started going bald at 24. Said fuck it, shaved my head. I'll go bald on my terms with dignity. Been doing it for 13 years.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Young woman here with a naturally high hairline at the sides. I get it, trust me

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I can only say one thing: shave yiur head and grow a goatee https://youtu.be/AD-E2B5GfI8

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Started getting bald in the middle of my head (crown?) around 24-25. Shit sucks.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same thing happened to me, so I told the barber to just shave it right down to the skin and never looked back. Went bald on my terms. :)

Don't worry. Crispr gotchew m8. Balding will be cured within the next decade.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

19 for me, mate. It sucks. Especially when women tell you "don't shave it. You'd look awful."

Screw what they say, shave it anyway, you can always grow it back out if you're not happy with it.

Those women are dumb and have not seen enough bad comb-overs.

Your hair is not receding, it is simply advancing in a different direction

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

yeah advancing into my nose, ears, and ass crack

Quit whining already, Jean-Luc!

I'm with you, man. Started at 14, now I'm 32. I'm not self-conscious about it anymore, but I still feel somewhat cheated.

I feel ya. I'd bought a new coat, the hood had (fake) fur trim. Sometimes when it's up, the wind blows and I see it move... I remember.

Seriously. Mine started receding at 24 and it was traumatizing.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Me too. Funny that people see it as bullying to tease people about being fat or thin, yet I got loads of grief and people thought it was ok

I was 80% bald at 23, it's like you magically become invisible to women lol

Was also overweight at the time I lost it, Got FUEs o my hair is back and I hit the gym 4-5 times a week now my 6-pack is coming in.

Wait but what if you're already invisible to women? Asking for a friend.

You transcend into another realm of existence that has rid itself of sexual desires.

Shave your head. Be confident. You can be bald and beautiful.

Works for some people, but my wife told me she'd prefer me rocking the 'shoe than bald

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel bad for dudes who go bald but can't grow a beard.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

From a bad dude with a beard.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Went bald at 28. My wife says I look sexy with no hair & she wouldn't want me to try to grow it back. Guess I got lucky.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I decided to shave my head when I was 21 due to me going bald. Haven't looked back since. Nothing but good things.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You have a good wife

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep, she's the best.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Happy wife happy life?!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is true, but as someone who also went bald at 17-18, women of that age bracket tend to prefer a full head of hair.

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

That's what I've noticed. College women are picky... that being said, most beautiful women I see who are 30+ don't care. At that point (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

(2/2) I say being bald could be used to your advantage if you stay fit and healthy. Go from looking "old" to looking "immortal" basically.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yea. It only works if you have a symetrical head

9 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

So true, I tried to shave half my head when I was an angsty teen and found some weird ripple stuff going on there.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

And if you don't have a symmetrical head just be buff as fuck

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Symheadrical

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Can confirm I shaved my head last week cause I was bored and I look like a conehead. I think I was dropped as a kid repeatedly

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

"I shaved my head because I was bored" wtf

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You never did something drastic cause you were bored before ?
