FloatingOnACloudOfTitties
Why would anyone downvote this? So much ignorance in the world... He’s less likely to escape if fixed...
Knowing that their dog escapes, he could easily find a female to get pregnant... Which adds to the cycle of homeless dogs.

Neuter your dog. Jeez
Some people don’t want to, that’s fine. If you do, chemical castration is better, please use it instead!
^^^This!!!^^^
joemac65
I agree.Cute but needs neutering.Non neutered/spayed pets have higher cancer rates. If you love them and want them healthy, spay/neuter.
meskarune
No, actually they don't. A neutered dog has higher rates of skin and bone cancer than unneutered. Those cancers are the top dog killers.
Fixed dogs also have been proven to have severe trauma from this. If you do fix them, use chemical castration!....
... All the benefits with none of the mental issues!
MarlenaWatches
Get him fixed please
Yep. Also, if he DOES continue to escape, he's not out there breeding litters of stray puppies that then go on to breed more stray puppies!

Hahaha you sound like a prison warden!
You sound like a crazy person comparing dogs to human children; pets need to be fixed, period, end of story...
What are you talking about?! HAHAHA when did I compare dogs to human children!?
You keep comparing dogs to humans: faulty logic; go read a veterinary journal & then come back & chat; it’s healthier for the pet
GeneTheAwkward
I've been downvoted before for saying it should be the norm. Not sure why. It's the first thing shelters will do.
Because ignorant peeps compare dogs to humans & think spaying/neutering is bad; it’s healthier for the pets & the only responsible act...
I think it’s immoral to fix pets, because of the trauma, chemical castrations is marginally better.
Go read a veterinary journal & learn things, then come back to chat with me about what’s “immoral” 1/2

Chemical castration is better for you pet, please do this!
Interesting that there’s people who downvoted. I guess they want that dog to get out and mate with a stray and make even more strays.
No, it’s sound logic & comparing pets to humans is a RIDICULOUS argument...
I actually think it is moral to compare them to humans. They do have their own feelings you know.
Not when science & common sense disagrees w/ you; the ONLY responsible thing to do is to spay/neuter your pets; go read a veterinary journal
My dad is a vet lol. And I actually agree. I’m just saying there are other sides to the argument.
Who is making that comparison? Insecure much? I just thought it was funny you sounded like a prison warden!
You said to compare my logic to humans & that’s a FAULTY argument; go read a veterinary journal & learn things before looking like a fool
It's not an argument. It's an amusing mental exercise. I think you could use a lot of mental exercise.
To be fair, the guy your arguing with in my comment isn’t me :P
Ho vell!

Un neutered animals are ten times more likely to escape
THIS^^^ Peeps need to spay/neuter their pets!!!
Some people don’t like to, I think it’s fine to respect that.
Most people that don’t are irresponsible; go read a veterinary journal & learn how it’s healthier for the pets & better for the shelters
Well I understand it is healthier, but it’s also been proven to cause mental issues. I think it’s fine to fix pets...
but chemical castration doesn’t traumatize them is all I’m saying.
Please source where spaying/neutering is “proven” to cause mental issues? Not one veterinary journal I’ve seen has a study that proves this
Theprincessbride
For some reason here it has to be a medical reason to spay/castrate your dog
Where are you located? We euthanize millions of unwanted pets each year due to irresponsible breeding & ... 1/2
2/2... over 80% of unfixed pets over the age of 5 get hormone-related diseases like cancer; it seems to be in the pets best interest to fix
In Norway
Muffdiver9
It's not a need, it's a recommendation that doesn't suit everyone. Some people want their pets intact for breeding.
You are being downvoted, but like, there are A LOT of reasons to keep a dog intact. Not just for breeding, but also health. Its situational
Let them, I've got points to spare and know for sure I'm not wrong. Lowering genetic diversity isn't a good thing.
It’s very much a need! There’s over 3 million dogs euthanized every year & over 80% of unfixed dogs will get hormone-related cancers...1/2
2/2... There’s no reason for a layperson to breed their pets. Adopt, don’t shop!!! =-)
They didn't say that people were breeding pets though, you are just projecting.
No, it’s not a need. It’s totally fine to not want to fix your pet. Some people would argue that it’s immoral to fix them.
There's nothing immoral about wanting to breed. It's like saying it's immoral to have a child because you should adopt. Like, I get 1/2
2/2 your point, but you don't need to, as long as you can keep a handle on them (which in this case requires them to fix the fence issue).
It’s completely immoral considering the amount of unwanted dogs that get euthanized & the fact that it’s healthier for the dogs...1/2
