I have more muscle now than I've ever had. I try to go *at least* 3 days a week. I usually take a Pilates class one to two times a week, yoga once a week, and cardio and weights for the other days. Here's to another year of being the best me I can be!!

MV edit: Thank you all so much for the encouragement! I apologize that I switched the images. I fixed it in the comments ;). I encourage you all to be the best *you* you can be. Stay hydrated, friends!

Good on ya

I've been sick as hell for the past two weeks, so I haven't been able to do any exercise, but I also have more muscle than I ever have. I'm reluctant to share a pic, but it is nice to feel validated. Way to go, @op!

The sickness is rough! I've missed so many days since school started because someone in my house is always sick! I hope you feel better soon!

lmao... I didn't realize she put the after photo first and my first thought was yeah... people get lazy when they get married.

after and before?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

👍😊

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

For a second I was like… do you go inside…? Then realized the before and after were reversed

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice work!

What kind of bass is that? Also, congrats!

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's a Samich acoustic bass! My husband is the bassist and I play guitar.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

" being the best me I can be!!". If more folks followed your philosophy, what a wonderful world this would truly be.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Omg yaaaaas! Zip up in the front sports bras are such a workout game changer.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's also really convenient for nursing lol

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

good for you, dude!

I could never have kids. That transformation is no joke.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

good work OP keep it up!

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thanks! I plan on it. Can't wait to see further progress this year!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I got confused by the picture order and thought you were announcing a pregnancy. Oops, congrats on sticking with your fitness goals

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Haha! Nope no more babies for me!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How do you feel?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel amazing! I have more energy and better endurance. My joints don't pop as much as they used to and my mental health is improved as well

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is all great news. I am super proud of you, keep hitting your goals!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some of you are impossible to please lol. There I fixed it.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Way better! At first I thought, “this lady is doing way too much Pilates, it’s making her waist _thicker_!” But then I looked closer, saw the arms etc., and realized you had the pics backwards. 🙃 Congrats, you look great!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The dates were on the original! Come on! Lol

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not everybody can see those dates. Not everybody has a phone with a giant screen. Some people have to use glasses, and even then it can be hard to see.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow! Absolutely incredible transformation!! Congrats to you!

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Thank you!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

congrats! favorite high protein meals?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've been enjoying finding protein bread at Aldi. I'll usually put cream cheese and avocado on it or peanut butter and (stupid expensive) clean hazelnut spread on it. I also like to make fritatas. I can add veggies and change it up however I like (or however my kids will eat it lol)

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Way to go. Doing fantastic.

Great job, @OP! Congrats! I’m also working on losing weight. Lost 20lbs last year, hope I can do the same this year.

What's your diet been like? That can have a big impact of course. Curious what your overall approach is.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm also a Type 1 diabetic so I'm more food focused than a lot of other people. I'm also nursing and can't really do caloric deficit at the moment. I eat a lot of protein, veggies, and some whole grains. I don't eat a ton of sugar (but those holiday calories, amirite?). I drink mostly water and coffee with Stevia.

Hey fellow T1D! I thought I spotted a G6 <3 Awesome progress!

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hey diabuddy! Thanks!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That threw me as "before" is usually on the left. Great job!

2 years ago | Likes 459 Dislikes 0

She eats the gym goers

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes i had the same ... wow a reverse before after

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I was like oh no, but now it’s yay

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel like this has become the standard on the internet, and I find it flummoxing. Most before & after comparisons I see on social media have been in the reverse order.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We should make it an imgur thing. Recent on left. Past on right. Since it always seems to happen that way anyway lol

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I've noticed millennials do this for some reason

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I know this is a English site hence left to right but doesn't technically most people on this earth read right to left? Or am I mistaken?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

You're mistaken.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You sound awfully confident without anything to back that up. Care to share a link to a study?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm not sure. I know Arabic is right to left while languages written with Latin, Greek, or Cyrillic scripts are left to right. Unfortunately I just don't know for languages within the approximate triangle formed by India, China, and Indonesia, a region that manages to encompass a full 50% of the world's population.

It's to drive engagement. It's the only thing that makes sense since it seems to always happen. It makes no sense. It's not called "after and before". It also doesnt make sense chronologically. So it has to be intentional.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I think it's because phones have the photo roll in reverse chronological order, so people scroll through it and select the photos, the after pic will always be first.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There I fixed it

2 years ago | Likes 118 Dislikes 1

No it was funnier the other way

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Sunglasses head is too small /s

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

My brain is one of the muscles I grew ;)

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

No ring

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a small silicone one. Also, I have four kids

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

yeah I was just trying to compliment you, not really interested but congrats on four kids and getting your body back. My suggestion is learn to be satisfied where you're at regardless of where your next goal is. Otherwise you'll never be happy with where you currently are. Good Luck!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was trying to be silly. Text is hard. Should've added an emoji ;)
I know my body is amazing and has served me well! I just want to keep it in good shape for as long as I can. Healthy is my top priority. Thanks for the encouragement!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know I screwed it up. That's why I put the dates on there so I wouldn't have to completely redo it. My apologies

2 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 2

There is no need to apologize for getting excited about your progress. Go you.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Congrats on the chow down. Joking. Well done @op

Great going, sucks that tummy fat is so god damn hard to get rid of and so easy to put on =_=

2 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 4

Going to the gym won’t help much with the belly fat. Belly fat is addressed in the kitchen not the gym.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What really sucks is that you can't really target fat loss. You can burn fat, but you don't get to pick what fat gets burned.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Think i have dropped 10 kg in a year but got no bloody clue where cuz it sure as hell dont look like it,

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Keep track with a tailor's tape. 10kg may not sound like much, but if you know your before and after measurements you might be surprised.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've had four kids!! I weighed 105 lbs at 5'10" in high school. The scale hasn't changed since I had my last baby but my body composition has!

2 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 1

You had 4 kids and you have made that much progress? That's incredible! Keep going 💪 You are beautiful inside and out

2 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Thanks!

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Keep rocking it momma!! I'm down 40 but continuing to work it. I still have a long way to go. Believe in yourself!

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Great job! You've got this!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is that a typo?!?!?! 105 lbs at 5'10" is what I'd expect from someone with a severe eating disorder. Not trying to shame, but that's not a healthy weight for that height by any metric.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I was undiagnosed Type 1 diabetic. My mom thought I was bulimic with the amount of food she'd see me eat.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That 100% makes sense and I apologize. I've taught food science in the past and we've had several kids realize that same thing during a project we did involving metabolism.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No need to apologize! You're completely correct in that it was a completely unhealthy weight at the time! I ran track and cross country too and that probably kept my blood sugar low enough for a while that we didn't catch the warning signs. I'm a fourth generation T1!
