My local Lowe's parking lot is the only place besides one spot on the highway that Flock cameras exist in my city. So far it has been easy for me to boycott the local Lowe's (I was a semi-regular customer before this came to my attention) and to take an exit 2 earlier than I used to and drive surface level streets. This trend will continue to get worse though, and eventually there will be no routes left that aren't tracked.

Knock on effect is that builders can't build, architects lose work and, this is a shocker, housing supply stops being built. Great if you're a trillion dollar rent seeker. Best part is the people that can't have homes pay for the cameras!

I thankfully discovered about 10 years ago that if you have a smart tv & and an antenna, and the siding guy says “we gotta take your dish down to do our work” there was never a need for dish- or cable for that matter!

Counterpoint, if making more people desperate leads to a portion of those people joining the organization out of desperation, then causing despair is a viable step in gaining members. As active membership grows(willing or unwilling), the ability to cause despair grows until the only stability left is as a member.
