She was there when I needed her most and provided a stable home for me. She was a single mom who worked hard to provide for her family and was finally able to retire into a home of her own 15 years ago. There she gardened, crafted, yelled at the TV and welcomed every stray cat that came in to eat the food she left for them. She never killed a bug, even the gnarly spiders that got in. She made a mean beef stew and rum cake so good it made you tipsy. Rest now Grama. I know you're still here, just a bit less orderly.
