BURNING: Following UKR's mass attack on Putin’s Novorossyisk naval station and oil port, Russia shifted tanker loading to the oil refinery in Tuapse. Well .. thats Tuapse right now. Slava Ukraini.

Russia is destroying itself trying to take parts of Ukraine. Even if Russia wins, it has already lost.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Anyone know where that helpful graphic is that charted total losses? Man I'd love graph that over time.

BURN, BABY, BURN!

This is still an ecological disaster. There are many nasty chemicals in crude oil. It might be a tactical victory, but we are still looking at a sacrifice here.

I guess it's "Burn the Oligarchs Where They Care" Spring.
I'd be okay with that being the whole year's theme, frankly.

When you are immobilized but your enemy can strike any infrastructure, manufacturing facility, communications operation, or food producing/processing operation anywhere hundreds of miles from the front lines; you are screwed, blued, and tattooed.

Let’s test this theory.

One oft-overlooked factor in defeating Nazi Germany in WWII was the destruction of its oil infrastructure. In Russia's case, it's not just hurting their military logistics, it's devastating their economy (and federal budget). Sooo .... keep it up!

5 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Not sure where you got the idea of "oft-overlooked". Rommel's fuel troubles in Africa are well known and the whole point of Allied daylight bombing Germany was to harass supply lines including manufacturing and fuel.

But yes, although it sickens me to see this environmental destruction I am glad it's at least specifically hurtful to Russia.

It’s okay not to be sure of stuff.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

You'd know.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Look, regular non-historian people are t aware of the economic factors behind Germany’s defeat. It’s really dumb to argue about that.

My paper straws help!

5 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Why do you even need a straw. Drink from the glass.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

For those that need a straw and can't use a metal one, it is a necessity. But for the vast majority of people? It's just a way to create waste.

That ruins the refinery.

Hehe.

And JD Vance said he's most proud of reducing funding to Ukraine.

God I can't wait for the gallows to come out. These traitors needs to be reminded of the consequences of their actions.

5 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Those gallows won't be built by the government. The 2nd amendment was specifically created to solve the problem of corrupt governance.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The EU took over The funding. Now The USA is insignificant. Ukraine can fully decide what to Burn. And they do.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey, Russia - this is your fault. Your OWN. DAMN. FAULT.

Cut your losses and go home.

5 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

While I would personally love Putin to go down in Russian history as "the guy who promised to reclaim Ukraine in three days but instead gave up trying after four years", he's not going to do something so sensible as cut his losses.

It would shatter his constantly-projected image as a "Strong Leader" while also mean admitting it was a mistake to invade in the first place. (And, in the machismo-based viewpoint of "strength", admitting to being wrong is "weakness".)

Russia is incredibly flammable.

5 months ago | Likes 211 Dislikes 2

About as flammable as wearhouses apparently

5 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

One could say that it is so highly flammable that it was inevitable that it would catch fire.

5 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Imagine if they start forest fire everywhere in russia?

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Of course it is, can you imagine the alcohol saturation?

5 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

This. They'll literally bust into flames. There's video. Russia is bonkers.

I wonder when will Russians have enough and hang Putin. Or more exactly, when will the top KGB brass have enough and have him trip near a window...

5 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

He has enough yes men around for that to not happen

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

putin's whole shtick seems to be that he's massively crippled his country's leadership and population just to ensure he stays in power. everyone beneath him is inept and corrupt and they've got plenty of probably illegal and definitely inhumane chemical weapons to deal with dissidents, assuming they don't just mysteriously die in prison or fall out of the aforementioned windows
