Tom Hanks - Diabetes

Tom Hanks announced in 2013 that he suffers from Type 2 diabetes during an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman. At the time, Hanks said he tried to lose wight to control the condition, but admitted that his doctor said that he'd only be completely healthy if he managed to get back to his high school weight of 96 pounds.

Hugo Weaving - Epilepsy

The Matrix star Hugo Weaving was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was 13 years old. In 2012 Weaving told The New York Post that he was once banned from driving because of the attacks. At the time of the interview, the actor said he hadn't had an attack in 18 years.

Nick Cannon - Lupus

Nick Cannon revealed in 2012 he was dealing with lupus -- an autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body. Since then, the television personality began chronicling his battle against the disease through online videos.

Jim Carrey - Depression

Comedian Jim Carrey opened up about his struggles with depression in a 2004 interview with 60 Minutes. "I was on Prozac for a long time. It may have helped me out of a jam for a little bit, but people stay on it forever. I had to get off at a certain point because I realized that, you know, everything's just OK," the actor said.

Jack Osbourne - Multiple Sclerosis

English media personality and music producer Jack Osbourne was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2012. The autoimmune condition, which attacks the brain and spinal cord, can cause motion problems that can be mild or more serious like paralysis.

Magic Johnson - HIV

Earvin "Magic" Johnson was diagnosed with the human immunodeficiency virus in 1991. That same year the NBA star funded the Magic Johnson Foundation, which raises funding and awareness for HIV and AIDS. In 2013, Johnson told CBS he takes three medicines a day to combat the progression of the disease.
