#18 (Not) Fun fact: sliced bread in the saying refers to the pre-packaged industrially sliced bread, which wasn't a thing until 1928.
Targe0
Other fact (You can choose if It's fun or not) we also had knives before we had bread. As stone knives existed a long time before we have any evidence of bread existing. We even have Antler and bone knives as well.

#21 YES!!! To this very day I don’t even use the coffee, and coffee maker in the room, or drive with the dome light on. I have finally gotten over the wait 30min before swimming after you eat myth.
Targe0
Though the mini bar one can still be true. As a lot of them have weight sensors that will charge you the moment you pick up an item. And they are all horrendously overpriced. Not everywhere has those but plenty do.
BaronVonBirdman
I’d imagine knives were around long before bread was
Salticido
Yup, knives are about 2.5 million years old, and bread maybe 30 thousand years old.

How is that possible when the Earth is only 2024 years old? Checkmate!

#14 I just bought an iPhone to give it an honest try, and I’m not impressed. Ultimately I think both iPhone and android are the same. Nothing really sticks out as “better” just different.
cyanideremark
It's just the devil you know. Neither is perfect and both are using you in their own ways.
Targe0
iPhone you're trapped in Apples walled garden of apps. With Android, you have a lot more options around what you can and can't use.

#16 neither of those are haiku.
Haikus are defined by being snapshot of nature during a specific season. The 5-7-5 pattern isn't even a requirement, it's just a general guide that is often used.

#22 I do not understand the concept of a candle warmer. The candle already comes with a warmer - the wick. Anything else would only cause it to melt in very unsatisfactory ways.

#18 According to wiki, the oldest evidence of bread making is 14,500 years old. Knives existed at least 2.5 million years ago. Knives are older than bread, and not by a small amount!
I am fun at parties, before you ask.
Targe0
There was also knives made from multiple materials before bread was invented. Such as stone, bone, antler and some wooden ones. I don't go to parties much myself.

#10 walking tacos and subpar emo music are the only contributions the Midwest has made to contemporary Americana
EroticZombiePants
The Midwest might not have invented Ranch Dressing, but the Midwest discovered a million ways to use it.

#15 Sooo there was a concept for a black comedy based on this concept. You can only enter Valhalla if you died in battle, but that's rather rare in modern times. So, Odin had to start getting creative about what constitutes battle... Leading to a pitch scene where a character is worthy after, "a glorious battle between your drunken ass, and a bus."
Targe0
See that works but it ignores the fact that the Norse had other Afterlives for non warriors.
ITellBadPuns
Might explain some of the stupid hills people are willing to die on to win internet arguments.
Targe0
It would make the great feasting hall slightly awkward. As they share tales of all their great battles there. Yorkson: "I slew 300 men in a single night. Ericson: "I did battle against the king himself and took his head" Dave: "I told someone they were stupid on Reddit".
