2/ I bought a 98 crv engine for like $500 and paid $250 to ship to my house. And they come with usually less than 50,000 on the engine.
Engines for that car are cheaper to buy than taking to a mechanic I'm assuming. I would say buy one from a Japanese engine seller and swap.
