I get how this is offensive in murika (and I agree, when in U.S. I always tip unless it was reaaaallyy horrible) - it ís a system issue though. Staff should be paid properly.Here, you tip when the service, food and/or ambience was good. And when you tip, you know its divided by all of the staff. Tip is a bonus, not part of the paycheck. So it would be concidered rude if a tip is actively expected.
