HR said it was a "private conversation". The department director was PISSED. That guy eventually got fired for bringing in a camera phone in the yard and pulling it out in front of his supivisor (back then any sort of camera device was a security violation)
You are down on the boat trying to not piss yourself wondering where that dude was and when he was going to give you a bathroom break. The funniest thing I ever heard anyone say over a man down radio hot mic was from some moron talking to a friend about how just on this earth to serve men. Then he yells out WOMEN AIN'T NOTHING BUT BITCHES AND HOES. Within 5 seconds you could hear 3 diffrent phones start ringing in the background. That one went to HR but he somehow kept his job because
So when I started there 7 years after 9/11 many of the people working there still had that same mindset. At least they had switched to semiautomatic pistols by the point I got there. I worked with Guards that would show up with a newspaper, take their shoes off, lock the door to whatever security checkpoint they were in, and read the paper till they fell asleep. Worked with a guy that would fuck you by leaving the job, walking out the gate, and playing scratch offs at 7/11 all day while
Naval ship construction. There were so many stores and I honestly wish I had written some of then down or kept a journal. Way too many years of 70+ hour weeks will start destroying your memory. I started that job in 2008, 7 years after 9/11. When 9/11 happened the security mindset had been 100% Barney Fife, as in each security shift would show up and people would grab a revolver out of a trash bag full of guns, put some bullets in it, and go to their post.
My wife said it was only for the baby and that she wasn't going to do that for me
Yup!
Everyone got to hear some GREAT private conversations or terrible bathroom noises.
Use to work nuclear security. That feature of the radio was very annoying. The radio, attached to your duty belt, always seemed to go off as soon as you sat down. Arms on a chair or the seat belt buckle in a vehicle would always be in the way of the radio and rotate it enough that the alarm would go off. And once the alarm went off the radio started automatically turned the mic on and transmitted whatever it heard. If your volume was turned down you never heard the alarm and

Question:With the above observation noted I wonder if anyone bothered to check bets placed for the same thing but for the 27th. What about the 26th? 25th?
While never one to doubt the levels of scum and villainy of any professional politician, I do have a observation and a question.Observation:Feburary 20th Trump ordered the Ford carrier group to stop dicking around with oil tankers in the Caribbean and to haul ass to the Mediterranean after diplomatic talks kept breaking down. Using my best condensing Lewis Black voice: gee, I wonder what they plan to do?Continued 1/2
Good things happen in the most inconvenient way possible.
Imagine that during a high speed car chase someone crawls out the window to change the license plate for one from a different state and then tries to say you can no longer chase them because the state of the issued plate changed. That's basically what this ship has done. While being actively persued for weeks by coast guard ships, this ship had someone go over the side to paint a new name on the ship while they changed out country flags for a Russian one.
Like any good ritual alcohol was involved. Alcohol 120% to be specific.
Also a surprising number of accounts that I'm pretty sure are hacked. Large gaps, sometimes several years, in post history then suddenly nothing but political post.
What I did: Spend a week where whenever you see a political post you click the OP's user name and look at their post history. If there are 2 or more political post in their last 5 post block them. You will be blocking several hundred accounts during this time so be patient. Repeat as necessary evey month or so. You will quickly get a feel for just how many bot accounts there are fanning the flames. Soooooo many political accounts with only a week or two worth of post history.
It's like rolling multiple 1's in a D&D dungeon. You clear the room of traps with your lifeless body as each trap explodes and throws your body into another trap.

Sounds like a good contraption cure.....

Never judge a pastry by its frosting. Sift.
I bought a queen sized 3" latex mattress topper once. That motherfucker weighed over 50 pounds and once unboxed it was as awkward to handle as trying to move an unconscious body. Never again.
I had no idea there are classes on swearing. Where do I sign the fuck up?

#6 the hill I'm willing to die on: while Hardee's has the better buscit, McDonald's use to have the better gravy (when they still had gravy biscuits). They use to come in a similar ugly ass container too.
