And 1 Peter 2:18-20, which states be a good slave even to a harsh master. BTW, these are all new Testament, after Jesus.
Not sure, but God should know, right? :D And at the very least it would start with some type of evidence. The very idea that there's a diety that punished us all before we literally knew what right and wrong was and then hid from us to test us when he's omniscient is silly, unless you were indoctrinated in that belief as a child.

God should know what it would take to prove to each of us he is our Creator, he should be able to do whatever that is effortlessly, and he should want to do so because he loves us. Instead he either lets most of us die when he could have saved us, or actively burns us in hell, depending on which madman you worship.
You've met God? He's omnipotent, he should be able to show up anywhere, or even everywhere, whenever he wants. And Mizpah, Jephthah's daughter, is given as sacrifice in Judges.

I think that imposed morality in the name of an actually non-existent God is a far worse morality than others we can form, because those who believe can reason outside it's framework and still remain their religion. Of course, this is why we have endless sects that disagree, but ultimately 3000 year old religion from priests is harmful. Sorry, slavery isn't OK, misogyny is stupid, homophobia is cruelty.
It was clearly written by men, in a language invented by men, that allows for those mistakes. Ancient Hebrew was a very limited language. And of course, it's all nonsense, because there'd be no need for a omnipotent God to hide, or an omniscient one to test us, or an omnibenevolent one to punish people, let alone accept human sacrifice.

That's one of my biggest complaints with the 'creator.' He knows nothing at all about his creation. He knows what a guy in the desert looking up at the stars does, not the 40,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars that we've estimated in the sky so far, or that they are in galaxies, or even other planets. How can a creator not know his creation?
