It wasn't a failed coup, it was a dry run. It was a stress test to see how the public and authorities would react to the "sounding horn".
There are things you can do instead of protest, especially if you have those you need to look after. Educating others on the correct things to do, reinforcing critical thinking, teaching science and real history etc, those are all absolutely necessary parts that are needed to combat this.
Anyone at this point arguing "we don't want a civil war" is no different from the folks who listen to domestic violence from their neighbors and say "I'd rather not get involved. It doesn't concern me."
I had nerve damage to my jaw from a car accident, and repairing my teeth was going to cost $65,000 and insurance said they'd cover $2,000 of it. So I opted to get bolted in dentures which cost out of pocket $33,000. I had to take out two loans. I hate our system.
Hell, just a root canal here in the US can cost you between $600-$1,300 depending on the tooth and your insurance. Tooth extraction is about $75-$800. All of this is "per tooth".
He rubbed his hands on Howie Mandel (germiphobe) on air, and told him to get over it. He also had two stand up acts at a republican sponsored events, for being too "crass" and offensive. Not even republicans want him.
In the US, protesting can lead to death, of the self and family. Your job here is tied to health care, protesting can result in losing your job. Legal? Nope. Ethical? Nope. But what are you gonna do? Protest? Also, most Americans are forced to live check to check, so missing work can mean not making rent or food. Most folks are trapped.
If you're going to be a troll, at least put effort into it. This is just... boring. It's the trolling equivalent of Seinfeld stand up.

Easiest way I've found in shutting this down. If god has predetermined everything, then prayer is blasphemy for thinking you can persuade god in changing things. Otherwise, god is subject to peer pressure.

We are now on Season 5 of the year 2020, and boy did the writers fuck the show.

It's worth pointing out this guy (journalist) has been in this situation before, and he showed them his press ID, and they got really aggressive. Then he showed them his Israeli citizen ID, and they backed off and told him he should announce that first.
They even address people wearing punisher gear.
Places like Massachusetts will revoke your ability to buy alcohol if you get too many DUI's. You can technically only buy alcohol with a driver's license or a state issued 'Liquor ID', state ID doesn't cut it. A lot of places don't adhere to that anymore though.
