Applying for a promotion at work, and I have to write a cover letter. Co-worker recommended I just use ai to do it. Instantly shot them down. "Not only would it be dishonest to submit something i didn't write myself, but if I'm not willing to spend 30 minutes writing a cover letter do I really deserve the promotion?"
My dog couldn't care less about needles. But I keep that a secret when the vet distracts her with treats ... not gonna narc on my dog and deny her free treats.
Then everything changed when the Fur Nation attacked.
I love when I get an email at work that is literally one short concise sentence and Copilot pops up with "Would you like me to summarize this email?" No, Bitch .... your offer to summarize was more complicated than the email.
#2 Despite "Bearlandia" and "Nobearlandia" accurately describing the existence (or nonexestince) of bears, they were named such because of a couple clusters of stars that kind of (but don't really) look like bears in the relative direction of "Bearlandia." We didn't know "Bearlandia" had special snow bears until LONG after we named it lol
Alan Rickman died TEN YEARS ago?? Fuck, I'm gonna go take a pre-emptive Tylenol for my back.
He is a beast! For a moment my brain couldn't decide if this was a cat or a wolf.
When watching Marvelous Ms Maisel, at some point in the series my girlfriend mentioned she hopes Maisel ends up with Lenny Bruce because they seem a good match. Without even thinking, I was just like, "Not likely, he ODs sometime in this decade." She didn't realize he was a real person.
#13 Referencing Diogenes while arguing against someone shitting on horoscopes is just *chef's kiss* peak irony. Diogenes would have literally shit on you for those nonsense beliefs, not just poked fun over the internet.
Whenever I'm getting photoed, I don't try to smile. I try to think of a joke that will get me to half suppress a laugh. Works 70% of the time 60% of the time. But also rarely worse than a fake smile.
I'm gonna be visiting the USS Cod in a few weeks.
The guy had been defaulted on his mortgage for over a decade ... a $400000 mortgage he had taken out to add an addition (including an indoor basketball court) to his mansion.
#2 Jokes on you, this happens to my phone almost daily.
#4 Classic gender reversal. I do 99% of the grocery shopping. Whenever my wife goes, she doesn't call me ... she just confidently buys the wrong thing lol
Mt microwave is connected to the internet. But if the power goes out and comes back, does the clock fix itself? Of course not, I gotta open the app and ask it to set the clock.

I agree, they're fucking around with bad intentions. But federal agencies are almost all part of the executive branch. So even the ones you approve of are executive branch websites. Sorry, just being pedantic.
I love when unpaid ads make it to the frontpage. [SLASH S]

Same reason the SNES F-Zero leader boards online split NTSC and PAL into different categories.
The water alone would kill you lol
I did the math a few years ago. Can't remember the exact number, but it was something like 200 bottles of coca-cola consumed simultaneously to reproduce the amount of doing one line of cocaine.
I rented a house on a small street years ago. Pretty much the entire street had everyone else's email. Easy way to share non-urgent info relating to the neighborhood without having to make an account on some nonsense social media. I would much rather an acquaintance have my email than phone .. much easier to block and/or ignore.
We lost all internet at work, and the powers that be decided we should stay open. I work at a library, and we need the internet to check books in or out.
My dining room set is all gaming chairs. (My wife worked for awhile as a product reviewer for a gaming site ... lots of free chairs lol)
#11 I reached out to an artist after he had an exhibit at my local museum about how much I liked his work. I mentioned a few examples that really stood out to me. He sent back some photos of new pieces that were in the same vein as my favorites that hadn't been publicly displayed yet.
Also, the fact that Williams did so well as such a new politician points to a lot of the Republicans voting in this primary agreeing with him. (To reiterate, fuck Republicans.)And while this is currently a Democrat held District, redistricting since the last election has a strong chance of flipping this seat.
First off, fuck Republicans and fuck transphobes. But this tweet is mostly wrong. This result is unrelated to Josh Williams' transphobia. Derek Merrin won the Primary because he's been a politician for four times as long, and was also the Republican nominee last election. More experience and previous nominations and the top 2 indicators for a Primary win. Also, Josh Williams isn't unemployed. He's still a member of the Ohio House of Representatives. He merely missed a possble promotion.
I own one piece of Nazi Memorabilia, but I believe it's the least suspicious possible. It's a Nazi dagger that my grandfather took as a war trophy from a Nazi officer who surrendered to him. I will never consider selling it to an excited collector. Either museum or trash.
