From earth we can that physics works the same out there. You don’t have to have one, but a giant telescope helps.
Further, if aliens are using an set of axioms even remotely based on physical objects, we have a pretty good chance did figuring it out.
While it may be unpopular, it isn’t really an opinion. It’s a fact that math can be done with other sets of axioms.
