Let's see what can I tell you about me... I have been blacksmithing for 23 years and am dedicated to helping those who are passionate about this art and want to try their hand at it. I used to be a rabid conservative Republican. That changed when in the space of 3 years I figured out I'm bi, my wife developed a chronic illness which made us try to navigate the American medical system, and I realized what a lunatic the POTUS was. I started questioning the "truths" that were indoctrinated in me in my corporate days and I didn't like the answers, so here I am today. I have a soft spot for any animal and I will help any humans who are trying to better themselves and those around them. When I'm not on Imgur you can find me on Facebook and Instagram: https://www.facebook.com/StormCloakForge/ https://www.instagram.com/stormcloakforge
Yeap, make America great again when people like me kept our mouths shut and "those" people lived in their own neighborhoods.
Same here, at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I think they are so adorable.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Don't eat isopods you monster :( They're adorable and friendly. It's like eating a cat.
Thank you! So few people seem to understand this. If they cleaned up, they're basically taking away someone else's job! And costing the owner more money to do it.
#1 They're like that because they can.
#49 Or where you lived. See Finnish American surnames. Maki, Maki, Maki, Maki. And I wondered why they called us hillbillies. But, my grandparents lived next to a hydroelectric plant, sooo... not Maki.
Love it! Good luck with the business!
#10 For 8 YEARS there was something wrong with my wife. We were told everything from "something's wrong with you but no idea what" to "I think counseling would help her get over whatever she thinks she has". Turns out it was cancer. Erdheim-Chester Disease. She self-treated her own cancer for 8 years.
#14 Replace mom with wife and that was me earlier this year. After a lifetime of "coping" skills barely getting me through (overachiever for attention), caring for a wife with cancer for the last few years, and then a very bad client meeting, I sat in my shop thinking about how I could go about ending this torment. I thought about my wife and all the love she's shown me. I decided to make a phone call instead. I've been in therapy now for a few months. It's hard. There sure is a lot to unpack.
Thank you! I started listening and thought, wow, someone didn't do any research before writing that song. Cattails are a welcome sight for any survivalist.
My wife has cancer and sometimes her hands stop working out of the blue. It usually happens when she's holding something, a dinner plate, her tablet, a cup of tea. When what-ever-it-is hits the floor, we both look at each other and say, "Perfect!" and laugh together as I clean it up.
Full-time smith here wishing you the best of luck! Good for you finding your niche.
Woops, hit enter before I meant to. I've never felt comfortable with using "trap". Seems too objectifying to me. I feel that way about a lot of ways people refer to "other" groups. When whatever term is used in a derogatory way, that's when it's a problem. I'm gynopansexual but when people call me queer, I get a bit queasy. Even though I am and identify that way, it's used negatively around me so much that using that word sets me on edge thinking the insult is incoming.
Ah! Now I understand. Sorry you are getting flak :(
Huh, I remember Bailey Jay explaining the history much differently back when she went by the name "Linetrap". I think we may have conflicting origins here.
That music is stupid.
HONG FOR GOVERNOR!!!
#6 Is that Tink?
Oooowee, wait 'till you read about the sugar trade...
As the husband of a disabled wife, we have experienced this. It was less than 50 years ago that America still had "ugly laws". Look them up and be appalled. It wasn't until soldiers started surviving their horrific injuries that America started rethinking these laws.
#23 My ADHD extrovert ass would be arguing with this idiot of a teacher until I either missed the bus home or they gave in. Nowhere does it say clock FACE. It says clock. Later, as an adult who was in the medical industry, I've argued against these kind of inferred assumptions. Why? Because they can kill people.
Yeah, still not passing code in my area.
Can confirm. Those in my profession, too.
Die with dignity? They aren't a museum. They aren't Williamsburg or any of the other countless living history museums around like (in my neck of the woods) Old World Wisconsin. They are an entertainment company. And, sure, listening to some lecture about the arms and armor of Elizabethan England can be alright, you've never seen a small girl's face light up when a fairy compliments her dress or the excitement when the pirate king invites a young boy to his ship. That's what they do!
So they could keep the doors open and continue paying the actors.
I worked At Bristol for 2 years. They were one of the last living history faires in the US. They were awesome. They just about went bankrupt and then they went all fantasy and people poured through the gates. They're in business to make money so as much as we didn't want to, this is what we became, a fantasy faire.
My girlfriend and I used to watch her every night. We've been married for over 20 years now.
#21 Yes Please
Yeah, this one got me, too. Being queer is not an f'ing choice!!!
#10 Mine too!
