Been a lurker since 2012 and my primary method of social interaction is making movie references.
I'm always surprised how little NGE is mentioned in these anime posts despite being a classic
To each his own, but to get the full experience you need to watch the original series and then the new movies
Today is also the 35th anniversary of the release of Alien

Except Halo got the idea from Ringworld so...
I prefer the original but I said it was the Rebuilds because I recognized the updated animation.
Rebuild of Neon Genesis Evangelion, but if this looks interesting you should watch the original series first.

Well when you do get to see it keep in mind that while none of the scenes from the preview at the end of 2.22 are actually in the movie 1/2
