I learned to program FORTRAN on an original IBM PC with two 5 1/4 inch 360 kb floppy drives and a whopping 64 kb of RAM (no hard drive). The compiler fit on one floppy and source files were on the other. You had to swap out the compiler floppy at some point so the linker could run.

Now that dog owes $100,000 in vet bills . . . no wait I'm confusing veterinary offices with emergency rooms in the USA that treat humans.

The lack of professionalism in the trades still surprises me, I worked with a lot of trades people in engineering construction 20 years ago. Some were good but too many were dangerous, stupid and belligerant. Still that way today apparently. Tried getting my son into local unions but if you are not related to a union member it is hard to get in. Senior trades people make good money but junior people seem to suffer too much abuse and injury to attract anyone but those desperate for any job.

Son decided he hated school. We told him to try trades. First electrician job he worked for an abusive idiot and quit. Second job he was injured by horseplaying coworker then laid off. Drove a truck but couldn't stand abusive dispatchers & low wages. Quit high paying drilling rig job after coworker lost fingers in stupid accident. Now he is back at community college. He found the trades filled with injury potential, assholes and idiots. Decent pay only came with a high risk of injury.

Would probably be easier and cheaper in the long run to just raise the pilings up 50 ft lift the entire house vertically then install a ladder to a floating dock.

Someone posted that they nevet made sequals. Someone shpuld make sequals about Big Hero 5 and Big Hero 4 etc. but arrange the chonological plot order so that the title numbers are in random order making it difficult to figute out which order to eatch them in. You know, like they didvwith Star Wars.

Do you know what is actually thousands of *miles* below the oceans surface? Molten iron and nickel. Not sharks chewing cables just molten metal. The ocean is about 7 miles deep at its deepest. 3900 miles is the center of the planet.

#1 Just consider her poor parents downstairs in the living room trying to watch a Ken Burns documentary on PBS having to yell upstairs "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU KIDS DOING UP THERE! IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE ABOUT TO CRASH RIGHT THROUGH THE DAMN CEILING!"

#44 is this a really old bumper sticker or can you still actually buy a luxury car for $60,000?

It appears a symbiotic relationship is developing between your puppy and your Roomba as they mark out their territorial boundaries in your domicile in an attempt to ward off encroaching robot dog sybiotic pairs.

As for your first roomba it may have been fleeing danger or suffering from a debilitating bout of ennui and depression. Robot psychology is a very underdeveloped area of study.
