I don't like moths
The daily trudge will always continue.. there will be no sky’s lit with nuclear conflict.. there will be no Armageddon.. there will only be occasional conflict where bombs and bullets kill and maim.. it is the way of our species.. it is what we have always done and always will.
Do you actually bang a gong..? It may have been more memorable had it been the more accurate: Strike a gong. I appreciate that pentameter loses something and the more aggressive feel of the word “bang” may evoke a sense of climactic percussion in interpretation. Unless he was being rude.. and that just wouldn’t make any sense at all… they were always banging things back then.
I agree… if only there was a video showing this process.
They had these at Peasholm Park in Scarborough since the 1970s.
Or a grenade missile…….!!! Or… even better… a missile grenade!!!
However things end up… you’ll be fine.
