However it wasn't general knowledge that the death camps existed mate, only a very small handful of People knew about it
Correct, Hitler and the nazi party managed to make Germans feel good to be German again, after a long period of shame
If I were to elaborate, that same shame isn't felt now because slavery wasn't 'wrong' until it was made illegal
And that's why an entire county and it's populace feels guilt and tries to make up for the 6 million people they feel responsible for
They didn't do it to gain an economic step up from anyone, they didn't do it for any other reason than 'fuck them, kill them all'
The holocaust was one group's desire to completely wipe out several types of people, with no better reason than 'they are less than men'
Now, I can't compare the slavery of African people, which was done out of economic growth and, yes, ignorance from all sides
I can explain slavery away through economics, however I can't condone the slavery of one entire race of people. (Lemme dial back a notch)
