I don't think I would get back what I spent. ($500 usd) but it was a project my dad and I did together with a jeweler. And that it was my father's father's watch and going to my daughter - It will never be sold. I love it thanks for the kind comments.
I'm gifting it to my daughter who's graduating as an engineer next week. It was her grandfather's dress watch. I worked with a local jeweler. He is the artist!
The hands are almost 15 years newer than the watch.
10BC movement. I just got it serviced and it runs +5/day.
Originals were and replacements are not.
Thanks. Band is a $20 Amazon replacement (for now). Painted face and original movements and new stem cap as noted.

I'd say Tuesday just for the yuk. I have a fantasy of going on jeopardy and just to say ridiculous answers for the laffs. ($400: Alex Trebek is from my hometown)

I have a relatively low end pixel 6 and was able to capture this with night mode on. frankly I was surprised as it's typically a disappointment on a smartphone.
for those that predicted snow. this photo was taken in the same spot 12 hours later.

I have been. but it's been growing over the neighbors vegetable garden and another's pool. The tree has really fine leaves and is a nightmare for a pool.
the pool... which I accepted. it just meant that I had to work hard to keep the pool clear but it started to reach over into neighbors backyards in their pools. didn't want to be that guy.
