I can't help but wonder how well these estimates line up with the world presented to us through our television sets.
Hamas provoked a war with Israel and immediately hid amongst their own civilian population. This means Hamas is guilty of using the Palestinians as human shields and according to international law Hamas, and not Israel, is responsible for the resulting civilian deaths.
The media is only directed to coordinate an attack on a candidate's age if the candidate calls for the taxes of the wealthy to be raised.

Humanity can rationalize almost any behavior and twist almost any belief system to match the cruelty in their hearts and if you remove the most common rationales (which of course you can't) they'd simply invent new ones.Stop blaming humanity's window dressings for the wickedness that exists in our hearts. Again, you're talking about the actions and behaviors of cruel, selfish people. You may as well blame it on them being sports fans or watching television because they all belong to those groups as well.
People with war in their hearts are going to find a justification for their cruelty. If they were atheists and not Christian they would simply use different justifications. Stop blaming religion for the existence of cruel people. They're everywhere and part of every group and the Bible, to its credit, is very up front about this.
Then allow me to phrase it like this: the free exercise of religion is delineated by name in the constitution. It has an existing, independent legal basis. Attacking it won't see it removed as a protected class, but it could see other groups removed the list.
In America Religion should be on the list, seeing as the nation was founded by religious refugees seeking the freedom to practice their religion how they saw fit. Arguing to remove religion from the list would guaranteed NOT remove religion from the list but could potentially result in the removal of other protected classes that couldn't be 100% proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to be based upon immutable genetic factors.
Blame Hamas. Or yourself. The world should have pushed for the UN to liberate the Palestinians from Hamas 20 years ago. But they stood by and watched Hamas launch attack after attack on Israel and then hide behind their own citizens. I doubt anyone else in the world would have endured that for 20 years without taking decisive action.
That's a terrible analogy. But perhaps if the shooter had been staging attacks out of the school for 20 years, and the police had given everyone plenty of warning to evacuate the building several days in advance, it would be a somewhat workable analogy.
Except, that is exactly what they're saying. They're calling for passive inaction from Israel if Israel is unable to 100% guarantee the safety of each and every person Hamas has chosen to use as a shield. Hamas initiated all this with a terrorist strike against civilians, including children, and then escalated it by using their own citizens as human shields. Place your condemnation squarely where it belongs: on Hamas.
It's possible for Israel to be wrong for how they've handled the west bank while simultaneously being allowed to protect their citizens from terrorist attacks.
By your philosophy, Hamas can attack Israel, murder 2000 civilians, and then retreat and hide behind human shields and Israel is supposed to throw up their hands and say, "I guess all we can do is wait for their next attack".Israel did that, for 20 years, showing far more restraint than we would have.
The side using their fellow citizens, including women & children, as shields, is the side predominantly responsible for their death.
Many of the Trump supporters don't believe in democracy (but claim they do) and many of the "Christians" don't follow the teachings of Christ (but claim they do). It's an apt analogy.
Not believing in God because human beings (who claim to be his representatives) are awful is roughly analogous to not believing in Democracy because Trump supporters exist.
The passage of scripture quoted doesn't imply skipping the tribulation. What's described could come at the very end of the tribulation as easily as the beginning.
