I agree with your point but the law does not support this activity for good reason. Doing so would legalize a dozen different extrajudicial methods of legalized murder. Governments declare war. Individuals do not.
That may be true but the video is misleading and misrepresenting the convictions. The issue is the victim could be engaged in a fight for their life for an entire week. Once hostilities are ceased through any number of means the law does not allow them to then attack. A common example is hostilities end when the party has the physical ability to flee. i.e. they are sleeping, either party has pulled away in their car, the fight has been broken up.
