Not too long ago I re-watched the series while I read the corresponding books (I made sure to be further ahead in the books than the series at all times). There were many times I went "Oh! That's why that happened!" because it was explained in the books and not in the show.
Only in the US, in the EU we have consumer protections and EULA's are largely worthless.
Years ago I worked at a small company that was one day contacted by Microsoft who wanted to hear what licenses we had. Like what? You don't know what you sold us? They were politely told we didn't have time to look it up. Every license we used was legal btw.

In all of those cases the perpetrators were more extreme right-wing than the current fascist administration. It's extremely dangerous, but that's the political climate we're seeing - you could say that not even the fascists are safe from the more extreme fascists.
Yes, the fascists are using violence to suppress political speech they disagree with. It is happening as I type this - if it's not possible to talk and vote your way out of it, what do you do? Wait until you're killed or imprisoned for wanting a decent life for everyone?
The point is that nigel thought/knew he was breaking the law and still went through with it. Why would the journalist risk being thrown in jail?
I doubt anyone could be so stupid as to not catch on earlier, I would guess it's been very profitable for him to not notice, so he hasn't. Now that the grifting well is running dry, he's pivoting.

As a European living in Europe the picture in this post reflects what I see and hear. We do not understand how you could elect the blundering fool TWICE and we are realizing that the US is no longer an ally or friend. It will take decades to undo the damage he has done to relations, if it can be undone at all.That's not counting the damage he's done to the US.
And we will cover their hatches in a thick layer of cement.

I watched two videos but couldn't find anything about bluetooth, anyway, I don't think it's the worst aspect by half - without tying mac-addresses to faces or license plates it won't have much value.
Yeah, that would make sense, I just haven't read or heard about it in the case of these cameras. I doubt connecting a mac address to a person is trivial though, there are much easier ways for law enforcement to get lists of devices that were present in a given area at a given time.
