The metal pedals are more durable, for the falls and rocks. But there are also set screws sticking up out of the pedals to make it grippy. Have hurt myself a few times, but I am better at it now enough that it hasn't happened for a long time. Worst case is missing the pedal when mounting.

Thanks for finding and adding that. A lot more than I could fit in the title, or knew more than peripherally, or had the motivation to lookup and share myself. Landmark treeline visible from everywhere in the district, have visited since I was a kid. It is one of my happy places. But now I only get to go when I am visiting from the U S and A (how embarassment)embarrassment, and I play ham radio now when I do.
My old Samsung Galaxy note 10+ still seems to work ok

What papers? No one carries their naturalization certificate around. It is printed right on it that it is not to be copied. Also, what papers if a us born citizen is brown/native American, and has an accent because they lived os for a while growing up? No one carrying birth certificates

OMG! I passed a 4mm spiky bastard - agonizing! Also, fascinating. PSA - Pain comes on in 3 waves. I woke up at midnight to discomfort which no amount of tossing and turning would alleviate. Over 15 minutes it grew to feeling like blacksmithing pincers squeezing your guts front to back.drenched in sweat, suddenly "poof". It disappeared! 20 minutes or so. Same thinh 24 hours later - except did not go poof. Many hours of excruciating waves of sweaty squirming. Take a hot bath. Went to hospital

I was actually impressed with the lifeguards - they looked comical, physically pointing and looking where they were pointing, tracing the perimeter of the pools, including right under their feet. "Comical" - but I think they were actually very thoroughly and seriously trained, including forced to watch video re-enactments of child drownings and screaming and crying parents and grief and such
Like "fox hunt". Kids will use their phones and wifi analyzer app to find the fox. I did this once for a scout activity.

Australian road safety adv campaign - horrifying prime time ads deliberately on during the 8:30 movie time slot had a precipitous effect on road deaths. Complaints by parents were dismissed, kids and adults both were shocked and appalled - very effective.
