Now there's a film I'd like to see!
A thing I love about Black Sails is it takes "None of these famous pirate tales have ANY evidence" and makes it a central theme of the show.
Black Sails is amazing too and Anne Bonny is such a good character in it. Everyone should watch it (but it's not about this particular duo).
It's not a movie but Hell Cats by Carina Rodney (on Audible) is a really good audio drama all about Read & Bonny.
Debt collectors, hitmen & child traffickers are workers too, but they're not good guys and if they unionise it's Bad Times for everyone else
I'm saying capitalism works by paying all workers less than the value that their labour creates. That stolen excess is what 'profit' is.
Socialism sounds OK in theory. But in practice it's SO good the CIA have to spend billions of dollars doing awful things just to suppress it

By definition, if a company makes profits and/or pays out big to bosses or shareholders, the workers DO add value they don't get paid for.
