Game dev currently working on a Netherguild! https://www.netherguild.com/
There's a free demo on the Discord: http">d">https://discord.com/in">d">http">d">https://discord.com/invite/netherguild and on Itch.io: https://superobot1.itch.io/netherguild ! :D
It was abandoned iirc. I used this voxel style for my game tho since I sucked at 2D and voxels were easier to work with haha- Also TY! (:
Thank you for the kind words! :D
Thank you! But... definitely not! I want to have my own unique fantasy world for this game, meaning no elves (:
Or games that changed for the worse like cubeworld- Also... I like this artstyle a lot so I'll just go as far as I can with it! 2/2
I feel that, I've been burnt on unfinished, abandoned games too. At this point though, I'm too far in to change the artstyle! 1/2
In a good way or a bad way? but I actually started using voxels because I sucked at 2D art and voxels are easier to animate + look better (:
Thank you so much!
I have seen some cool indian games recently- though this one is an independent game (indie), not a game from India haha
Didn't know that! I think I've seen it being used to hold military beret hats before too
Looks hella yummy. As a Shakshuka lover myself, I approve!
Sounds like a great campaign, I would've loved to hear the banter in the sessions following the initial spread of covid here lol
I shall! Thank you for your blessing master splinter :D
I'm not planning to change that part about the game, but it does feel kind of weird!
You're joking, but my WIP main project, "Netherguild" a turn based strategy game, had a plague in its storyline before this went down...
Yooo, that's a pretty awesome warforged sketch :D Love the spear, face and design in general!
Really happy to hear it!!! Thank you for the kind comment (:
Hope you'll enjoy it! Just yesterday I added a new feature that allows people to download maps directly from the web app :D
Nice pixel art, praise the sun! \[T]/
Rivers do affect borders even as is though- since they're "water" and therefore take longer to cross which can help form natural-ish borders
2/2 Or you can completely disable civilizations spreading over water! It's not a 100% solution but I think it works-
1/2 Thank you! Yeah, you can increase the "water spread difficulty" slider to have rivers slow the spread of civilizations/areas even more-
Happy cake day!
UNCLE RUCKUS CAT
Pull that up Jamie!
-So that spices the borders up a bit (: Thanks though, I'm glad you liked it. Which natural features do you think should stop a kingdom? Hmm
If you try it out, you can see that with the basic algorithm (shore-climb, I believe?) flat land is easier to spread through than mountains-
Fair enough lol- maybe get some rest once you're able to, I usually come up with the best ideas when going to sleep myself
It's a hobby project so I'm not worried if the maps are 100% perfect- as long as they're fun to make and give inspiration to the users (:
3/3 In the meantime, you can increase the water level in order to get smaller islands (:
