It's not cowardice to acknowledge your trying to fight a losing battle and reassess.Here's the reality, under the current system Texas will never be blue, voter suppression is very much a real issue. If we really want it to flip we need to be smart about it, and it's going to be an uphill battle. But we need massive reform, and to get that we need to be strategic, patient, and collaborative; three things Dems SUCK at.

Okay, that's awesome, but it's not everyone's experience. My POS stepfather swore on his wedding vows that I would always be loved like "his kid" that lasted until she had his kid. I was never an equal. I was the only child until I was the stepchild. He was violent towards my mom and me, and had issues controlling his temper. He hasn't spoken to me since I came out, so much for love.Not every priest is a pedo, but they all get the rap. Step parents are not different.
Oh right, I forget that when we talk about "education" it's often about young children. I was an instructor in the Navy, if my students didn't want to pay attention, they would simply fail. It wasn't my job to force them to pay attention.And now I'm a student in college, and most professors have a similar attitude.I guess at that level it makes more sense. The passage rule seems incredibly stupid though, still.
It feels really weird complaining about phones inside the classroom. If they don't want to pay attention that's on them, and honestly taking the time to confiscate a phone is more of a distraction for the rest of the class than letting them jeopardize their own success.

While I can agree that the y'all-qaeda types certainly display sociopathic behavior, to lump all of us with diagnosed ASPD in with those monsters is harmful, and perpetuates undue stereotypes.I am a "sociopath" and I would NEVER side with them. Religion is a plague on society and has caused immeasurable damage. It does not exist to serve the betterment of society, and in turn does not benefit me.
And at some point humanity will stop too. Nature is far more resilient than people, we will eventually all die off and nature will take over again.

Nope. I don't view those who would stop others of their rights as human. They are at best conscious beings, who should be afforded no more rights than the animals they would subjugate us to be
Humans have a right to life, if you deny other people their most basic human rights, you forsake your own humanity and you no longer entitled to them yourself.
That's an interesting question you ask, because no, I don't oppose the death penalty. I do believe that there are some people who are beyond rehabilitation, and life imprisonment is inhumane. And for those who are beyond rehabilitation, for the betterment of society as a whole, they should be removed.Those that genuinely believe that certain people shouldn't have access to the most basic of human rights, on the grounds of who they are, should absolutely be put to death.

My best friend has made it very clear that he does not see value in his life, and that the pain he feels every day could never be fixed by changing things in his life.The only reason hes still here is that he doesn't want to financially burden his family with funeral costs. But has made it clear, when he has funeral money saved, he does not intend to keep living.As a friend, all I can say is "okay I love you, I support you, and I'll be your friend until that day comes"
