In the Mouth of Madness….nice

Hell yeah, a korean girl I dated in 2011 asked if I wanted to “get some eat”while out one night. I still say that now

It’s always been a technically correct choice, but you have no way to verify if it actually damaged the camera. A cut pole and smashed camera is pretty obvious, both for you and the departments using the cameras

Sucks for him either way, but as noted, this is all theatre. They can vote to hold him in contempt, but that really just means they are now able to refer it to a federal court to determine actual guilt. I’d lean towards they formally vote him in contempt then never actually refer it, just saying they made the original vote will be enough for their base.

I will soon be the owner of a tungsten cube. You too can embrace the power of the cube

I remember watching them play in Pensacola as a replacement for Orgy, who was all out with mono.

And don’t forget that because Trump keeps saying it was vandalism the company can deny it as a warranty claim. We get to pay for it in full all over again.

Welcoming and racist are not mutually exclusive (as weird as it sounds). Mostly everyone I’ve met here has been great, but even after 20 years I’m still gaijin to them. You are either Japanese, or you are not (and half is the same as not).

If not, the fact that he routinely calls it vandalism (and has “proof”) will absolutely void the warranty.

Well, wait until you hear about how fans will kill you in your sleep, because they create a vortex that sucks all the oxygen out of the room (granted, this is Korean not Japanese)

Enlisted for two years before attending West Point. He still earned the rank, but I would say he is more an academy officer than a mustang. Either way, it’s an obvious retaliation firing, probably based on his refusal to remove people from promotion lists

Ehh, it depends on if they ask demographics. Age, sex, and marital status can narrow it down a lot. We had a guy get caught by that (granted, he was also the only male over 50 that was unmarried)

I could have sworn that was John Carpenter as part of his apocalypse trilogy. I rewatched Price of Darkness last week and it was….very 80s

State practice indicates that the protected status of medical personnel does not cease if they are equipped with light individual weapons solely to defend their patients or themselves against acts of violence, for example, against marauders. If they use such weapons in combat against enemy forces acting in conformity with the law of war, notably to resist capture, they forfeit their protection.

Worst part for me was the next day when everything hurts from tensing during the crash. Entire body was sore for almost a week despite having no actual injuries

In a normal world the agency would not be able to pay the costs if an individual was fined (misappropriation would come into play), but that assumes normal rules being followed. As for the pardon, that’s actually prettyclear, if federal then pardon. It’s always assumed you can’t pardon yourself, but it is not explicitly forbidden.

Civil contempt would be easier, as it is not a crime (appeal but not pardon), and even a low fine of $1000 that doubles daily would add up quick. You start fining people in the admin for non-compliance and see who stays around to support Trump when they personally start owing the courts millions

Don’t have the details of course, but unless they agreed on a bill rate to determine how many hours is equivalent to 40mil then nothing is stopping the firm from saying their rate for the admin is 40mil per hour

Girls like guys, and you like girls, so by the transitive property you like guys, and that is gay. Come on, this is basic math /s

“We don’t want to die, we just don’t want to be alive anymore.” I don’t know where I heard it, but it’s stuck with me as a perfect explanation of how my friends and I feel

The live actions were fine, in their own way, but it always felt like they could never find the right balance for his character. They leaned too heavily into the absurdity or too heavily into the murder.

RCTD-629 is the series, but I don’t know her name or specific episode

Wheel of Tine was worse, they just fucking wrote whole new plots for Perrin and then Matt fucks off and doesn’t come back

Just get a job working IT with any military branch, don’t bother with the mute anymore. Be warned though, it will forever break your filter and make you basically unemployable on the outside

That’s what a lot of people wanted, but Lincoln was afraid that doing so would hamper reconstruction efforts. On December 8, 1863, Lincoln offered his conciliatory plan for reunification of the United States with his Proclamation of Amnesty and Reconstruction.

Basically, all but “the highest military officers” were granted a full pardon.

DS9 just felt more real; characters had real flaws and the line between good and evil was not quite so clear.

This is just a guess, but it’s pretty much assured that the bribe was related to case for which she was a juror. The prosecution will almost certain try to add a jury tampering charge, and she can’t be both a juror and a witness
