As a salaried engineer, I feel this. Was really hoping to move to the public sector last year but well *gestures broadly at everything*.

Seem being the keyword. And yes I learned that lesson hence why I did well next time around.
My studies was civil engineering though. Plus I think you can start calling yourself that once you start practicing.
eh, took it next quarter and aced it.
Flunked out a history class once, but that was because I was already working and taking other eng classes, and it was early in the morning.
I've seen people call themselves Engineers while they were still studying. Always gives me a chuckle.
For the most part, it's usually city(county) requirements. We don't actively try to do so.

LAst day of Middle School me and my friends did just that, fun times. Lost a controller though.
