lawyer here - not sure this state but generally restraining orders/DV injunctions are civil and you don’t go to jail UNLESS you violate the injunctions. at least in my state where i practice! looks like she violated and said she wouldn’t contact him… after she already did, and enough to get her thrown in jail.the judge’s humor seems to be that she says she will now do what she was supposed to…. after being thrown in jail for NOT doing it after being court ordered previously.

meanwhile - i guarantee- they will look at statistics for minorities who are convicted of non violent crimes and faced disproportionate punishment compared to whites as “justified” and that we should “trust the legal system.”
the difference to me seems that there are gun owners that loathe the idea of using the gun in self defense, because they don’t want to harm/kill people, but would to protect themselves/their family. there are also gun owners that are itching for a reason to use lethal force LEGALLY. ie - “I DARE SOMEONE to break into my house” or “steal my stuff” or Kyle Rittenhouse
