Oh hell yeah adding to my wishlist now! I love making dioramas unfortunately the craft supplies and space needed make them a bit prohibitive so hopefully this can scratch the itch

For tuna salad the other day I was out of pickles and relish so I picked the next savory green condiment I could find to put in and found out pesto goes really well in tuna salad!
I get you I have some major food issues and a hyperactive gag reflex so this was the only way I could think to take them. Got all the stuff needed on Amazon with enough empty capsules for a lifetime
I did this when I got magic mushrooms since I heard they tasted bad. Blended in a ninja and put in capsules made them easy to take!
Yeah the line from the chaplain "we remade you" is much more literal than most people expected I think haha. And that was just for Titus to go from regular Space Marine to Primaris Space Marine.
It's no problem I always enjoy gushing about the bits of lore I do know because as you say the lore is a lot so helping new people get their feet wet is fun to me because there's more people to talk about it! And yes as MrE replied many will die during the process as you might imagine having your body ripped open and put back together isn't a smooth process. I'd recommend looking into their creation as it's pretty fascinating as a decade long surgical and rehabilitation process!
The lore has been flexible from the start and it changes on GW's whim whenever they want to change their image (slaanesh) or sell new models (primaris marines). I just wish they would give some love to the sisters of battle and silence instead of it always being about the boys in blue.
With the case of female space marines it's funny because they did actually exist (kind of) at one point! The problem is of course the models didn't sell as well as the male ones and GW decided to remove them from the product line and added the lore afterwards that they couldn't exist because they were incompatible with the gene seed selection process. Personally I think it would be weird to add them in now and would cause further strife after the Custodes but I could see GW doing it.
There are only 2 things I can think of in lore that would be weird and a retcon to see and that would be a non-black (not race just skin tone) salamander or a female space marine. The salamanders gene seed actually has a mutation that activates on being exposed to their home-worlds sun which causes their skin to turn jet black just like every denizen of the world. However they can also be any race just with jet black skin!
Space marines are actually not direct genetic spawn from the primarchs. They are taken from families at an incredibly young age and taken through a "selection process" to see if they can handle the augmentations and are a good fit and then implanted with the Primarch's gene seed which modifies their genetics and has varying effects based on the Primarch. There is no reason an ultramarine couldn't be black or asian or any other really. That whole thing is nonsense made by a tourist.
He could have also just been incredibly socially anxious like I am. I can't hang out with people outside of work because I get legitimately sick to my stomach with nerves. Idk why and once I'm done being nauseous (one way or another) I go back to my usual self.
True I only started acknowledging things right before covid started and that was a whole thing. But at 29 I can see that my genetics will fight me the longer I take. I still can't dispel my worries though
