Yep. He knows what he’s doing and why.
It’s been obvious from the start that Israel was going to ethnically cleanse Gaza. They’ve wanted to do it for a long time, and Hamas gave them the opening.
The 2010s business strategy used to be (and AFAIK still is) illegal. It’s called predatory pricing. One thing we could do that’s super easy is start enforcing antitrust laws again. We don’t even need new legislation. Enforcing existing laws would make a significant difference.
Yep, and they supply a lot of our essential raw materials. Trump has tried and failed to fuck with China multiple times.
Exactly, which is why they backed off this stupid plan almost immediately. They’d have to sanction the bank of China, and they’re not going to do that.
I’m still not convinced a word guessing machine will be able to do all they say it will. But he does make some good points. At the same time, collective action in a world of private enterprise and competition isn’t something we really do.
Schools are run by the federal government now?
I mean, you nailed it! 😄 She just needs to hold on a little longer. He’s going downhill and she’s put in this much time.
IIRC, you gotta read the fine print on the No Tax on Tips thing. There’s a limit to how much is exempt and it’s not that high. And it expires in like 2 or 3 years. It was always a gimmick to get working class votes. The real tax cuts went to the millionaires and billionaires.
But only one of them is sundowning.
We need to take this seriously and be vigilant, but also remember that Steve Bannon is full of shit.
Wasn’t that Henny Youngman?
He don’t give a shit!
I feel you. But having the military command decide when the President is acting according to the Constitution is the opposite of civilian control of the military. They should resign if they feel they are being given an illegal order. But if they choose to stay they should obey orders.
Wanting the military to openly defy the President is a “careful what you wish for” kind of thing, IMO. We are in Iran because of the Republicans in Congress. They need to reassert their Constitutional authority. The remedy for what Trump is doing is impeachment and removal. But yeah, they ain’t doing that.
They support him because he shares their grievances. That’s it. That’s why no argument or fact or consequence will change their mind. And if they do, they’ll never admit the “liberals” were right. They won’t give us the satisfaction.
Exclusive boys only clubs? Oh, those already exist. Go get ‘em, boys! 😄
The Patriot Act really was the turning point.
I don’t have to imagine it. I’m living it, baby! 😅🫤
Awesome! I’ll keep an eye on their schedule.
Yep, that’s funny. I always want to take my own car. I’m happy to go to the event, but I’m gonna want to leave early.
True, but money is not all powerful. At the end of the day, people are more powerful than money. We have made a lot of progress the money didn’t want and we can keep doing it.
It’s the easiest path forward. It’s either fix the Democrats or start another party. Easier to fix the Democrats.
Oops. I guess he’s just got that vibe!
Just the democratic socialists. 😉
I love the stuff I learn about on this site! I’m a huge AC/DC fan, thanks for the tip!
Agreed, but you wouldn’t think there’s an “invasion” unless you were being told that. So yes, people are receptive to the message, but the message also amps up their belief.
Pretty much all of right wing politics is a grift of some kind. It’s either using the rubes’ fear of the other to get them to support tax cuts and deregulation, or to sell advertising or supplements or gold or whatever.
Yes and no. Yes, they were susceptible and bought what they were being sold. But propaganda does work to change attitudes. So it’s a bit of both, IMO.
