Sorry to be the cynic, but isn’t the whole point of becoming a CEO is either passion or profit? Looks like this guy was more about passion.
Others care more about execution vans, belt and road, or Chinese state businesses building infrastructure in the west.
People are personally picky about what’s okay with China and what isn’t. Done are really lax and only get upset about big things like HK 1/2

Essentially, peace is a power strategy. But power still controls everything and probably always will.
We might see dramatic works power change and an eclipse of democracy at worst.
The East grows in power. Russia’s economy is in ruin but with China’s growing economy and control as well as a weakening west 1/3
Of course conflict just moved to smaller groups when full blown war became too high-stakes. It’ll be interesting to see what happens as 1/2
You can’t bully the bullies if they can out-bully you. Peace is a symptom of power. We tend to forget how chaotic this world was until NATO.
Every powerful country ever. The whole point of the west is to create a big stick alliance. Why NATO exists.
