Pirate, anti-authoritarian, amoral, atheist. Do what you want and tell the gods to go fuck themselves

So, I am interested in this line of inquiry. There is something here to examine. But OP, are you perhaps, entering your 30's?

We stealing diapers here. What do you think the child support network looks like for this family?

You don't have to have sympathy for the drunk driver to recognize that the system is punitive beyond reason when it could be rehabilitative

I was just thinking that! And my next thought was "ah shit, we should do something about that"

Apologies for the sarcasm, I really do agree. But how do you take money out of politics? Limit campaign spending? It's the folks benefitting from campaign funds making the laws. It's exhausting, but yes in the end removing money from politics somehow is an important step

Absolutely! How?

Maybe, hear me out now, standard practice shouldn't favor backing the incumbent regardless of circumstance?

Pretty sure 174,000 is more than enough to afford an average 2 bedroom in DC with over 100,000 left after that to take care of other expenses, a primary residence back home, and general expenses for the year

I read that as you were being judged on making a cheesecake and spent 5 minutes trying to think of what the auditing metric of baking a cheesecake could possibly be measuring.

Sure, I'm familiar with the name. Don't know the area though. We lived with mis abuelos aveces when I was a kid. Somewhere in little Havana I think. Walking distance from St Michael's Church. Atheist now, but grew up Hispanic Catholic so a lot of my land marks are the nearest church

I consider the Democrats and Republicans as organizations to be focused on securing the wealth and power for themselves. I respect that Mamdani and Cortez are trying to change things from within the systems of power that exist. But I think we have to start voting in new parties if we want to see real change. Vote communist, green, libertarian, independent, socialist, vote for anyone. If you think a good person working in a bad system is the best choice vote for them. But I won't vote R or D

I dunno, I grew up a little bit in south Florida. And to me concrete and palm trees are the most natural combination

If you want to have a bad time, look up what qualifies as poverty in your state and compare it to your own income

Friends in the comments, I think OP is referring to the giant "FU" on the barriers

Alcohol also has only downsides. No, health benefits at all, it's a recreational poison. A universal ban on tobacco is ridiculous for a lot of reasons, but one of them is the concession to the idea the your society has control over you bodily autonomy

That's okay! Taxonomy is a silly science. It's just better at categorizing things than everything else we've tried so far

It's more like saying it you live in America you need to take accountability for Trump, and we do. "I" might not have voted for him, but someone in my community did. Democracy starts as a conversation with your neighbors.
