Well... thing is... I saw shit coming so I dont have kids. I have saved a lot of money, when my parents die I will probably inherit a lot of money. I'll be fine for the next 25 years and then when I'm 85 I'm probably dead (not a single man in my family has reached that age). So yeah... I'll be fine. But my god soooooo many people will have a truly horrible life in the future. Kids from my nieces and nephews. My younger colleagues. Damn they are fuuuucked.
I talk to them during breaktime for 30 minutes. I explain things to them in the simplest possible way. Sometimes It hink: I think I'm getting through. But then they go back to work, put on some right wing podcast, browse on X for half the day and all my effort was for naught. They are literally brainwashing themselves for hours and hours per day. As long as they stay on (social) media, they are lost causes.

Hitler came to power with just 32% of the votes... kinda the same as Trump... But Hitler created an economic boom, which boosted his popularity into the skies. Thats why fascism worked so well in Germany. Hitler created jobs, income, a 'bright future'. THat is why Hitler had a 90% approval rating in 1939. If USA is lucky, Trump will totally destroy the economy. If he manages to do that (and it looks like he will), people will abandon fascism because of economic reasons.
I dunno... if half the world had not helped defeat the Nazis they would have conquered Russia. When I look at Russia I dont see that country getting rid of fascism any time soon. Same with North Korea. And USA doesnt have to turn 100% fascist. If they install a dictator they can be somewhat 'free' but it;s still going to be a dictatorship for decades and decades...

I think he will destroy democracy. He will either not accept election results. They have to be ratified by Congress and he will force Congress to simply not accept the results and then democracy is over. Or he will stage a coup, something SCOTUS already ruled he can do. Or, even more likely, the GOP will simply win the 2028 election because Democrats will push Kamala Harris again and USA will not survive another 4 years of GOP. I think fascism is here to stay in USA. Forever.
The way I see it: if Trump dies before the 2028 election MAGA will simply chose another 'hero' and follow that person. Someone shot Charlie Kirk and that whole cult is now following whatsherface. I have tons of under 30 colleagues who say they would vote Trump is they could (I'm from EU so they cant thank god). I think more than half of them. They are also the same people who dont get vaccinated anymore and some of them dont believe in moonlanding, are not 100% sure the Earth is round and are religious. None of them are member of our workers union. If this is representative of the future generation we're fuuuucked.....
And around 1/3rd of people are simply too dumb to breathe. And 40% don't care enough to vote. It's good to blame the 1% but I hate it when people pretend everything is their fault and none of it is the fault of normal people. We still live in a democracy. Their 1% vote is still just 1% vote. The 77.3 million vote that Trump got were from normal people. Not from billionaires. We could kill all billionaires but then there would still be 77.299 million fascists, racists, misogynists.
The thing is... Biden could do it legally and could actually do it. I mean.. you and I can try but we're never going to manage it all.
