Not to worry. With the way climate change, pollution, overpopulation, and other things are going, the only thing people will worry about in the future is survival.
Few people are talking about underlying conditions. It could be the same as having an allergy and not knowing about it until the first time it happens. Or maybe the ride itself is too dangerous, but then shut up about this particular ride and close all these types of rides at all parks.I happen to like thrill rides like this, but it is a choice. If I got injured through the normal operation of a ride like that, it would be my fault. The forces these rides put on your body aren’t for everyone.
Of course it’s a temporary fix, because people are stupid and scared. When was the last time any decision that affected many people was made unanimously or with a high majority? We could have aliens invading and broadcasting that they want to murder all humans and there would still be deniers, people who try to help the aliens, people who try to fuck them, etc… I have accepted the fact that someday, humans will go extinct, and it will probably be our fault. So just live your life and have fun.

Your first sentence is correct. Any other species that gets overpopulated, gets checked by nature and reset. But we have the technology to circumvent that, so it won’t happen until we’ve really trashed the planet badly. Nobody is talking about the correct way to prevent this, which is global population control. Keep the population under 2 billion, give everyone a moderate, decent lifestyle, and everything would be fine. But human greed wont allow that, so we will roast.
Yeah, a lot of drivers seem to rely on herd immunity. They can’t pull us all over for driving too fast, cellphone use, not stopping at stop signs, the list goes on. Except that I won’t do those things ever, and they get pissed that I’m a better driver, or that I’m slowing them down, apparently on purpose, by obeying traffic laws.

No, I can empathize with plenty of people. But there are certain people I cannot. There exist people out there in the world who are parasites of society. They only take and do not contribute anything, and I believe they do not deserve the air they breathe. People will disagree with me, of course, because they have to pretend that every human life is important or valuable or whatnot, but take a good hard look at the world around us and tell me if everyone’s life is valuable, why don’t we show it?
I didn’t say everyone in the world is a dipshit. People who are addicted to gambling sure as hell are. It doesn’t matter the demographics of these people, because they are not unique. You could give me a very specific demographic of people who are highly addicted to gambling, and I can show you that there are people in that exact demographic who aren’t addicted to gambling. So why aren’t they addicted to gambling? They choose not to be, plain and simple. We always have a choice.
Ok, you first. But if you really stick forks in electric outlets and nothing happens, the power is probably turned off. I’m no electrician, but even I can manage to turn off a breaker and do it safely too. So what’s your point?
If we had a good society, these predatory behaviors wouldn’t exist. You can gamble safely, but some people choose to take it too far. Not my fault there are companies designed specifically to take advantage of these people. But again, it was a choice. No one put a gun to their heads and said gamble your life away.

I have played the lottery and a few things in my life, rarely. I am not or ever have been addicted to gambling. People don’t just get addicted to gambling because it’s easily accessible. People get addicted because they are fucking stupid and they deserve what they get out of it.

Here’s the silly thing about religion, like Christianity, but it applies to most. Think of the worst person imaginable who ever existed. People probably think of Hitler or Stalin or Mao or others responsible for millions of deaths. Those people could conceivably be in heaven, if they repented and asked forgiveness before they died. Now think of some of the best people in the world, who did great things for mankind, but were atheists or non-believers. They would be in hell.
I’ve worked in a steel mill during the summer at about those numbers. I would not wish it upon anyone else.
Lots of people make poor life choices, tattoo or not. Having a tattoo does not mean an easy lay or STDs. Shit tattoos come from shit tattoo artists, of whom there probably are plenty, just like there are plenty of shit cooks, plumbers, drivers, parents, teachers, politicians, etc. I’m glad you don’t give a fuck about people’s opinions on tattoos, because as the owner of several tattoos, I believe I can speak for us all by saying we do not care about YOUR shit opinions. You’d have to be a child to actually fit in a bathtub. Those things are so small. Just measured mine at 54 inches. So if you ain’t 4.5 feet tall or less, you gotta do the halfsies thing: bottom half, then top half. One or the other, but never both at the same time.

I’m skeptical enough and wise enough to know that I know very little, in the grand scheme of things. The universe is a massive place, and it is possible there is some being or creature out there that has evolved or has advanced enough technology to appear god-like to us mere mortals. But to believe that out of the whole universe, they specifically created us and only care about us and made rules for us, is a complete joke. Religion was invented to control people long before government existed.
Yup. There is no quick fix for this. You can’t magically undo hundreds of years of downright malicious pollution. We are on the way to creating a planet that will be quite uninhabitable for many species , and we’re not even slowing down.

Thoughts and prayers never cured cancer, gave cpr to a drowning victim, put out a fire, or stopped a school shooter. You know what does all those things? Actions, done by doctors, researchers, medical professionals , firefighters, or police. Actions speak louder than words has never rung truer.

Americans live in a fucking bubble, and as bad as it can be, still not even close to what goes on in the rest of the world. 9/11 was a tragedy and ~2000 people died? How about the global war on terror it spawned that wasted trillions of dollars, accomplished next to nothing, and killed hundreds of thousands of people in Iraq and Afghanistan? Are American lives somehow worth more than the lives of people from literally anywhere else?
