I have been a positive contributing Imgurian for 10 months. In that time I have done my part as a responsible user, followed the rules, flagged spammers and rule breakers, and posted images that have achieved a high reputation (41K+) and made the Front Page 4x. While none of the posters that I flagged ever had anything happen to them, including blatant spammers and posters of hardcore porn, the one day that I post a NON-nude image that showed ONLY buttcheek, somebody flagged it and I get banned from posting. Meanwhile, the spammers and pornposters (not to mention plain old shitposters) are running wild continuing to post whatever they wish in spite of being flagged. As a former modmin of an image site, I can tell you that this is no way to moderate one. The crashing servers I can deal with. The ridiculous ratings algorithms I can deal with. The shitposting I can deal with. But poor site management which punishes the quality posters while rewarding the rulebreakers is something that I, and other quality image posters, find intolerable. Which is why you are finding them increasingly taking their images to other sites and leaving this one to the shitposters. Today I am joining them. So if you are looking for any of the images I have posted, including that one image that got over 12,000 upvotes in less than 24 hours, you won't find it. It has been taken from imgur and is being given to another site where it, quality images like it, and the people who post them, are appreciated. Good bye, and good luck keeping this site going. Unless you radically change things around here you are going to need it.
