#2 If you can't take the heat, don't start a grease fire in the kitchen.

Don't move. It's vision is based on movement, it can't see you if you don't move.

#2 Always thought that should have been the real sequel to Beetlejuice. Millenial couple gets a great deal on a house because it's haunted. So they're dealing with paranormal shit 24/7 and just rolling with it. Because it's the only way to get on the property ladder, and Beetlejuice himself is just frustrated like "WTF is up with kids these days?!" Bro, you're scary, but you're not '08 recession scary.

Leaving it half typed as he pounced on my fingers halfway through the post lol.

But yeah, it's not uncommon to find "stray" kittens who are already domesticated, because they're abandoned by irresponsible backyard breeders.

It happens. One of my current boys is a tabby kitten just like this. Shorthair not medium hair, but otherwise identical, and very clean and tame when we found him. He was definitely dirty, but not visibly so, and was already litter trained and had a preference f\o\r

People will dump unwanted kittens in places like woods and alleyways.

That's adorable. It will be less adorable when that kitten loses their milk teeth and grows their adult teeth. Don't teach your kittens to bite your fingers.

If you don't want to be hated, stop being so hateable. It's really not that hard, just be crooked instead of crooked *and* evil.

Eh, there's still time. Anvils are pricey, but you can finance anything nowadays. Don't let your dreams be dreams!

I guess dresses are probably cheaper, if you're into that.

It looks nice. It's basically a way of turning backup rolls of toilet paper into a thematic decoration which is great for hosting guests or parties. It's not functionally useful.

I don't have epoxy around the house, but I do have zipties... specifically for this kind of quick DIY fix.

Plenty of housing configurations in a walkable neighborhood have a private yard. But none of the configurations in a non-walkable neighborhood have pizza within walking distance.

I don't want a private backyard, I want pizza within walking distance and no landlord. But it's a moot point, because if we get rid of the NIMBY zoning, we can both have what we want.

We have ultimate proof the Earth is not flat: cats. If there was an edge, cats would have pushed everything over it by now.

Ironically, as much as I enjoyed the skit... I was also super interested in the train coupling story.

In particular, taxes are not "charging you to live", they're paying your share for the shared public resources we all use. It's not bullshit to make everyone pay for it, it's bullshit that not everyone does (in particular the mega-rich who use way more and pay as little as possible).

Dunno, but he hit one of my personal peeves. AI doesn't have to be trained on child porn to create it, it just needs to know how to draw children and porn. And we have a lot of images of both. You've probably never seen an elephant in a pink tutu, but you can imagine one because you've seen elephants and pink tutus. AI works (roughly) the same way. I fully buy that Elon is a pedophile, but all AI art programs can make CSAM - they understand C and SAM.

It sounds like she's wailing after getting hit, so probably not. Unless someone edited that sound in, like then "bonk".

Hey now. As he has more and more strokes, there are days where he says nothing at all.

Yeah, I was just thinking I could totally listen to that. Thanks!

Good way to get your knuckles smashed, but funny nonetheless.

True, but this could be useful for non shooting incidents too. The only lockdown I had in school was an angry parent (ugly divorce) trying to get his kid from school. He wasn't armed, but he was belligerent and they feared he might become violent. Being able to drop a spike and lock the door down could be useful for any other reason you need to restrict access.

I think he was at a stoplight that just turned green. The car that passed on his right kept going, but the bus to his left was stopped. The bus wouldn't let off kids from the left hand lane in the US (and his wheel is on the left side of the car, indicating this is the US), but if the bus was stopped that suggests he had a reason to be as well and didn't just park on the highway to eat.

While some of these behaviors are anthropomorphized, these behaviors do show love. Dogs don't "smile", for example, but they do have a relaxed facial expression and body language that means the same thing.

They're rare, but not unheard of. 1/5 of orange cats are female. Four orange females would be a 1/625 chance (for a litter of four) which is actually super common given how many litters of kittens are born every day.

Pretty sure Cap can just... beat up Magneto.

20% of orange cats are female. They're uncommon, but hardly rare.

Cats and dogs have to put up with a lot of our irrational behaviors. Best to get them used to it young.
