Ehh, after Rocky 2, they stopped being films with actual characters and just turned into a dozen montages broken up by a few minutes of cardboard cutouts exchanging bad dialogue. Rocky retires with a detached retina at the end of the first movie absolutely content and only boxes Apollo again because He and Adrian needed the money, at the end of 2 he has permanent brain damage and boxing again will kill him. He retires for good after Adrian almost dies in Childbirth, the sequels shouldn't exist
