They are cold blooded creatures. That means they need sun to stay warm, so preferably in a place where there is sun most of the day

Then why don't you buy one. There are great printers for under $300 these days. I can really recommend it.
This is a realy awesome project. Have you considered printing it in PET-G or ABS? They print very well on my i3, and gives extra strength.

I started mine a few months ago and I have been able to make some profit already even if I don't live in a busy city.
@op have you considered also starting a 3D hub? This is a service were people can order prints. This might be easier to get some customers.
