I’m a bleeding heart for animals in need and tend to pick up more than I can chew I currently have; 4 cats, Calyspo, Crunchwrap Supreme, Kiwi, and Freya! Some hobbies of mine include making costumes for renfaires and conventions, along with art (especially painting D&D figures), and hiking. Some media things I enjoy are; ghost (the band), mad max, tremors (#gummer2020, go Gummertarians!), memes, cooking, leather craft, horses and horseback riding, collecting blankets and pillows, and collecting model horses.
I know this is a long shot but are you able to tell me the brand on this couch? I have someone looking for a replace since it was their cats favorite sleeping spot, and their cat just passed away :(
Authors don’t change titles of books particularly ones that have already had a first run without a good reason, and any kind of agreement like that would have had a written contract. They’re also not going to change the title for a retailer unless the retailer has bought the rights to the book. Which if the retailer had bought the rights to the book, they wouldn’t then buy the book directly from him - they would either buy it from a contracted distributor or directly from the printing press.
Remarkably this incident occurred almost one month before his book came out and it drummed up a lot of activity on his account and attracted attention right as his book came out.
But now the latest scandal is, he claims that he made an agreement with a large chain bookstore that if he changed the title of his book, they would stock it in every single one of their stores, then they backed out and left him with 100’s of copies which he says he ordered out of pocket, which is hard to believe.
Another woman made a video and his followers attacked her in force to the point she deleted her account. But other customers said that he had become angry when the restaurant initially told them they didn’t allow pets, he got defensive and then when they went to seat him at a table they asked him to keep his dog under the table to not impede servers and other guests, he got upset and they left.
That she was a black female owned business of one store not a chain which he lied about, so she said there’s no way she could take on 100 copies...
Mind you this was after he had already had a bit of a scandal after calling out a restaurant for supposedly discriminating against him over his guide dog, and other customers who had been in the restaurant that day said that his story wasn’t quite how it played out.
Because essentially the bookstore owner wanted 10 books and he put her down for 10 boxes which was like 100 books, and I believe even in the emails she said 10 books but either accidentally or intentionally he ordered 10 boxes and then was upset when she wouldn’t take the entire order. He then insinuated that the reason they cancelled the order was because of homophobia. At that point the owner finally came out and defended herself explaining this had nothing to do with homophobia.
When the book first came out, he said that a small chain of bookstores had bought in huge order so he paid upfront for all of these books and then she cancelled the order. He released emails which show that she did “amend” the order from what he thought because there was a discrepancy and then he got upset so she just outright cancelled it once he got upset with her.
It’s more that he comes up with sympathy stories to make himself the victim and if you know anything about publishing you know his stories are fabricated or at least severely exaggerated to make people feel guilty for him to sell his books and garner attention.
Yeah, and it’s happened multiple times now. The scam has been "woe is me. Bookstores cancel orders due to homophobia"
But we all know Bookstores don't order 100s of copies of kids' books.
So they act like they are stuck with canceled order inventory so people will buy direct.
The couple faced backlash when they claimed a major book distributor (Ingram) backed out of stocking their LGBTQ+ children's books. Critics and an Ingram employee alleged the authors were fabricating the story as part of a "pity marketing" campaign to build a vanity press or manipulate the system. They’ve had this similar story happen 3 times now, coincidentally all when numbers are low on their TikTok’s or other social media
The video Shuxer59 has on their YT of them sculpting this is insane. No wonder it went for $1600
It was entirely hand sculpted! The op is Shuxer59 on YouTube!
Eragon. The movie was abysmal. Second place? The outsiders. I loved that movie but it could really use a pick me up!
Moonstone
Not laboradite. Labradorite's colours are dark grey to grey-black with colourful iridescence, blue, purple, green, yellow, red, orange-red, brownish, and colourless. Rainbow Moonstone, on the other hand, is usually colourless with a blue or multi-coloured sheen with the blue sheen being the the most sought after and most valuable
The blue flash is what gives it away as a moonstone!
Oh, come on all you workers, who toil night and day
By hand and by brain, to earn your pay
Who for centuries all past for no more than your bread
Have bled for your countries and counted your dead
We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die
The first ones in line for that pie in the sky
And we're always the last when the cream is shared out
For the worker is working when the fat cat's about
I'm hoping this is still open. I've only got $2 in my account and a pizza would feed my husband and I for a few days at least. He gets paid on this coming Saturday (biweekly pay) it'd be a nice pick me up Instead of eating plain rice again. I’m in martinsville IN, and we usually get either sausage or pepperoni.
Thank you! It’s been a journey to get to this point but I couldn’t be happier ❤️
It’s still not the news you want to wake up to out of a dead sleep. I guess just add another reason to not sleep to the growing pile :(
And my biggest cat is about squid sized and I think she’s Chonky!
Now I’m excited all over again for Hades 2…
It’s a custom painted Breyer horse!
#17! I’ll listen if I can show you my art!
Have any of our listeners seen the glowing cloud that has been moving in from the west? Well, John Peters – you know, the farmer? He saw it over the western ridge this morning. Said he would have thought it was the setting sun if it wasn’t for the time of day.
Apparently the cloud glows in a variety of colors, perhaps changing from observer to observer, although all report a low whistling when it draws near.
I do this when I get a call. Usually it buys me 1-2 months of no calls 🤣
In 2022, in Indiana, I got a bilateral salpingectomy after an 8 year battle. The reason? My then boyfriend (now husband) went with me and gave me permission to get that procedure done. I got put on a wait list and legitimately got the surgery the day before RvW was overturned. I feel so incredibly thankful for my husband now because I don’t know what I would have done had I gotten pregnant. I had an unfortunate plan ready to go if I did - and I still do if the surgery fails.
My mare was 15.2 and I’m short, so I just used a feed bucket to hop on 🤣
