I’d like to say a long, loud, hearty FUCK YOU to each and every one of them. My husband pays NYS taxes. We. Do. Not. Live. In. NY. We live in Texas but his company’s HQ is there and he’s paid out of that office. Since we don’t have income tax in Texas, there isn’t a reciprocal rate. So we pay federal, state and property tax. My husband is also an immigrant who can’t vote. So fuck all of them. We’ve spent 20 years with CPAs there is NO getting around it.

The local neighborhood group threatened to sue us if we subdivided I to 3 lots for a multiple family compound instead of 2 because they didn’t want it to give developers a chance to break these big lots up more. It’s in central south austin. Our lot is 1.3 acres. Lots around us are bigger but they are ferocious about keeping it the same. 🙄
