When flying Uk-USA my wife and I’s flight from Dublin got cancelled. Airline put all the passengers up at hotels for the night and put us on flights the next day. Under EU regulations they are also required to pay €600/person in compensation, but only if you apply for it. They technically informed every passenger with a pamphlet but it was in such deep legalese we only realised due to a friendly desk agent.
