I always hate to ask for help, but I work full time and support a roommate/found sister who can't find work because ableism runs deep in the job market. We're normally able to scrape by, but a visit to the emergency room left us near starving this month and paying rent a check late (thank god our landlord is chill). At this point anything is better than nothing.
I'm only 26 but I still had my CDs and old pink panther VHS tape and for some god awful reason a warped Jeff Foxworthy stand up special on a cassette. As much as technology exploded during the digital age people forget how long it can take to adopt new technologies if you're not rich. My house had two big fuck CRTs and only got a flat-screen in like, 2010. The progression was exponential in the last 15 years or so

I can recommend Minneapolis. My now roommate went through 5 years of trauma and instability before we moved here together, and her state insurance covers weekly telehealth therapy, and she hasn't found work yet

I highly recommend watching Babylon 5 if you thought DS9 deserved more complexity and less fucking around filler. It takes off halfway through season 1 and refuses to slow down or pull punches or softball fascism. It calls out every motherfucker and demands you confront uncomfortable truths.
