Keep your head up. Every new language/framework/project seem intimidating at first. Before you know it you'll feel at home!

Exactly. I did react before my new job. Now i do Vue, Nuxt, Angular and AngularJS. Neither was a hard transition.

In the end i completely smashed the test with 90% correct. I'm fine with long interviews, but they could have easily done it with pseudocode

This is much more sensible. My test was split into smaller parts with each their timeframe, but had to be done in one sitting. >>

Had 5 years developer experience. Had to take a 4 hour skill test and 45min personality test plus 4 interviews to get hired. Stupid...

Getting whacked? I remember what that feels like!

We spent a year moving all our clients to azure. Took some effort but totally worth it. RDP deploy is stressful, to much that can go wrong.

I suppose it's up to your CI/CD flow as well. We handle the majority with azure, terraform and docker containers. So it's mainly git+azure.

Isn't the majority of development just locally on your laptop? I'm in webdev but i only use ssh/RDP for debug or server config.

First shot i felt nothing. Morning after second was like a hangover. By noon i felt like i had full skin transplant. Third day felt nothing.

Why couldn't the red hot chili peppers set up their PS1? They had a scart issue.

I would never violate the rules of science. It's truth, you know.

Why does that look like Joe Rogan with hair?

I was referring the the fact that he has a large role in one of the worlds most successful sci-fi franchises, which is loved wordwide.

There's a whole world outside the USA, you know?

It's legal here i Denmark as well. It's illegal to run a brothel or to be a pimp.

This is either a brilliant joke or a huge insult to Italy

Jesus, that's a bad pay. I mean per hour it's probably fine, but this isn't exactly just desk work. I guess there's a fair bit idle time too

I really liked the characters, writing and acting. My main problem was that combat felt monotonous. Abilities felt meh to me.

Docker and chill

Sounds like people on here do small projects with little to no maintenance. Being a lone wolf dev is useless for big projects.

Whenever there was a foul it was essentially a wall of these gestures all the way down the stands. Emotions are wild during a derby :)

Might it also be a football thing? I went and watched the Milano derby in 2019. Plenty of the hand gestures there.

Celibatists: Wait, you guys are getting off?

No I don't recall ever being molested.

I feel like working harder is mostly for manual labor or service jobs. In programming there's a million factors. It's whatever brings value.
